TestimonialsJune 2011 In our previous trips to Ocracoke we have always been enchanted with 'the street paved with shells'. We were so fortunate to be able to spend our first anniversary here on Howard street. The house was just perfect for the two of us! We particularly enjoyed Ocracoke coffee, the beach, Howards, S'Macs, Back Porch and new favorites - Zillie's and D'ajio. Any trip to Ocracoke is a blessing and your beautiful house added to our enjoyment of this trip. -- Sarah and Evan
October 2010 I am a first year visitor with a 49 year visitor. Beautiful island, beautiful home. Thanks for the memories this week has given us. -- George
October 2010 The best stay on the island is this perfect house that exceeded all expectations! Thank you for sharing your house with us. We enjoyed your DVD library. Our folks came for dinner one evening and we enjoyed a glass or two of wine on the porch and toasted you and the perfect beach week! We'll be back in a year and hope 58 on Howard is available. -- Sharon
September 2010 Simply the best!! 58 on Howard is perfect for two. Cottage is lovely with many extras We had spectacular weather and enjoyed all that Ocracoke has to offer. -- Debra and Don
June 2010 We loved our honeymoon here on the island! Staying at 58 on Howard made it even better since it's so cute and the perfect size for just the two of us. We both enjoyed being able to walk or ride the bikes wherever we needed to go. The only place we drove was to the beach so we could get away from where people were. It was great having the beach to ourselves. If you have a dog and want to bring them, Sandy Paws was great! We had access to our dog 24/7and still got to see him. If you're in the mood for a romantic night, take the sunset cruise. It was so beautiful and we got a ton of pictures. Call a few days in advance because it fills up fast and do not wear a dress because you will want to move around and see everything. -- Matthew and Julia
June 2010 What a great pleasure it's been to revisit 58 on Howard and find that none if it's charm has faded. Ocracoke is enchanting as ever. What a relaxing, fun, sweet time. -- Tim and Judith
May 2010 58 on Howard, on Ocracoke island - the perfect place to enjoy our honeymoon! We picked Ocracoke because we wanted somewhere quaint and quiet...harder to reach and somewhat disconnected from the rest of the world...a little slice of heaven. This was the perfect place to relax. Morning and evenings were spent on the porch accompanied by coffee, wine and James Taylor. We love listening to and watching the beautiful birds in the ancient live oaks. The wonderful kitchen allowed us to cook some gourmet meals with fresh catch from the Ocracoke fish company. We loved riding our bikes all over the island (and walking them back from the Thursday night wine tasting at Zillie's), eating the freshly unloaded fish from s'Macnallys, the sunset cruise on the schooner Windfall, the short hike out to Springer's point (ride the bikes and bring bug spray!), flying kites on the pristine beaches, and stargazing on the beaches north of town. We have had the time of our lives and hate to leave this place tomorrow...we will be back...and already deciding to retire here! Thanks again for the perfect place. -- Ben and Claire
May 2010 We really like staying on Howard street, riding bikes, and pretty much everything else that others have mentioned. Ocracoke is just a special place. You are so lucky to own a home here. Thanks for sharing. -- Adam, Amanda and Peri
October 2009 Wonderful time under the ancient oaks at 58 on Howard. Enjoyed greatly (again!) the coziness and meticulous design of the cottage, and the warm hospitality of so many on the island. We love sitting on the porch and reading, or people watching. The quick access to the harbor and restaurants and shops was thoroughly enjoyed. We love being tucked down the narrow lane, close to the action and simultaneously of the beaten path. We are cheerfully at home here, and that has to be the highest compliment a vacation home can be paid! -- David and Amy
