DescriptionDelight in spending your Ocracoke vacation on the quaint historic Howard Street. The new owners of the Gaskins-O'Neal cottage welcome you to their charmingly decorated home, offering a comfortable setting for memorable family vacations.
An oyster shell lane begins your short walk or bike ride to shops, galleries, restaurants and Silver Lake Harbor.
The Gaskins-O'Neal cottage was built in 1883, is on the National Register of Historic Homes and named after one of the first families of the island. From the front screened porch, drift back in time enjoying one of the island's finest neighborhoods.
Two bedrooms; one with a Queen and a Twin and a second bedroom with Double bed. The cottage offers two bathrooms; one with a shower and master bathroom with tub/shower.
Amenities include 2 cable TVs, 2 DVDs, iPod speaker system, wireless/wired internet access, telephones, gas fireplace (off season only), AC/heat, ceiling fans and laundry with washer/dryer and utility sink. The fully equipped eat-in kitchen features a dishwasher and microwave. DVD and book library.
The exterior offers a pleasant and comfortably furnished front screened porch, side deck with dining table and canvas umbrella, outdoor hot/cold shower, park style charcoal grill and a large partially fenced yard.
No Linens. Dogs only please - no pet fee (maximum 2 dogs). No Smoking. Maximum 5 people, including children. Limit of 2 vehicles.
Allows partial week stays, 3 night minimum, booked within 2 weeks of the arrival date. Please call for reservations of partial week stays.

Had a great time in your comfy house. The beds are so comfortable and the shower comes to a perfect temperature. We've enjoyed your movies in front of the cozy fireplace. Lots of outlets for plugging things in. Ocracoke in the winter is amazing. We have enjoyed every moment of our visit. We were only fogged in on Hatteras once but were treated to a marvelous sunset and bird display on the way back. Thanks for everything! -- Christine Inrig

I love Gaskins-O'Neal. I want to live here! It combines the best qualities of beach rentals for me-old and yet everything is brand new. We had trick or treaters on Halloween! Twelve years ago I moved from Alexandria, VA (where I lived for nearly 40 years) to a home in rural Scott County Va. My home is a mile off the highway. I hadn't seen a trick-or-treater for twelve years! My friend David and I will be back first week of November next year. Maybe we will stay at Gaskins-O'Neal again.
