We stayed at Down Creek Condo and loved it. The layout was great and the details were even better, like the art-work and the knives that actually work! It was sweet coming back to Ocracoke after a few years and we will surely return. We also got some treasures from the gallery downstairs and flash froze some Spanish Mac which we will enjoy soon. Lastly which should be first, the people of Ocracoke were as kind as ever, even under pressure from thousands of stressed out tourists (myself included). On our first night we ran out of propane and called in a non emergency.......the next thing I know (at night) we see headlights,and someone is setting up a reserve tank.
