Behind a picket fence and tucked among the cedar trees, this popular cottage is a favorite destination for returning families. The colorful decor and simplicity of design provide a soothing and relaxing setting for your island vacation. Relax on the screened porch or large deck, you're on vacation!

3 bedroom cottage offers 2 bedrooms each with Queen and 1 bedroom with 2 Twins. 1 full bath with tub/shower and one ½ bath.

Amenities include central AC/H, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, telephone, high speed wireless internet service, two cable TV's with HBO, VCR and DVD and stereo with CD/cassette. Additional amenities include book library, board games/puzzles and clock radios.

The exterior offers a screened porch, deck swing, large gated deck for pet and child safety, enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower, grill and fish bench.

No Linens. Pets welcome - no pet fee (maximum 2 pets). No Smoking. Maximum 6 people, including children. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Partial stays of less than a week are welcomed and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. You may either call the office at 877-646-2822 to book your partial week stay or you may book online under the nightly tab on this property page.

We loved Fiddler's Rest, it is a great house! It is thoughtfully decorated in a fresh, sunny, seaside decor. You can tell it was newly remodelled just recently. It was more than we expected! We loved the screened in porch, tire swing, and hammock. It has a great central location within walking distance to coffee shop and wine store. We loved the laid back atmosphere of the island and really hope to rerurn next year or sooner. We would definitely try to rent the same house! -- The Sparlings

Lovely 2 week visit - enjoyed by us, dogs (Portuguese Waterdogs!) and guests! Wonderful decor and casual living. We will be back - but too bad we have to wait a year. Thank you for providing this respite of charm and ease. .

After a hectic winter, your delightful cottage proved to be the restful oasis we five needed. WE have spent the week enjoying your decorating skills - each room is bright, cheerful and welcoming, with marvelous little touches that feel personal and as thought there's a seriously creative eye at work (or eyes!) We have some very gray days and most inclement weather, but it was so cozy in the cottage that we just snuggled up, read, and played games - and now, later in the week when the sun has returned, we see what a paradise it must be in balmy weather! Thank you for your attention to detail, your lovely craftsmanship and your willingness to share it all. We leave rejuvenated! We loved our twelfth summer at Ocracoke and the house was absolutely gorgeous. WE got full use out of the screened in porch which we loved. As always, the island is wonderful. A true retreat from "real life". The cottage has been a beautiful spot to de-stress this last week. Plenty of room for 3 girls to be together or apart.
