Formal dining room, casual eating nook, and screened porch with patio table provide varied options for dining.
Two screened porches are open and airy in warm weather, yet protected from cool breezes in the off-season. Additional open porch on second floor is the ideal spot for reading a novel, taking a nap, or watching the stars. Reverse floor plan is ideal for families with children or multi-family groups. Large yard with park style charcoal grill is perfect for picnics, volleyball, or relaxing after a day at the beach.
Well-equipped kitchen is a chef's dream. Featuring for 2012, new stainless steel ditchen appliances - refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Plentiful amenities include wireless internet service, central AC/heat, satellite TV and DVD/VCR in living area. TV's in all bedrooms with HBO and Cinemax, DVD library, 2 iPod/iPhone docs/speaker systems, CD player, answering machine, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, baby gate, H/C outside shower and fish cleaning bench.
Three bedrooms: 2 w/King (or 2 twins), 1 w/King, sleeper sofa in great-room. 3 full baths.
No Linens Provided. Linens may be rented thru Beach Outfitters, located at Ocracoke Island Realty. Advance rentals of linens, beach gear and bikes can be delivered to the cottage.
No Pets. Smoking permitted in outside areas only. Maximum 8 people, including children. Limit of 3 vehicles, please.
Saturday check in day.
Partial stays of less than a week are welcomed and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. You may either call the office at 877-646-2822 to book your partial week stay or you may book online under the nightly tab on this property page.

Thanks for letting us stay at your house. This is our 4th time staying here and we just adore it! Love what you did with the upstairs porch; we ate dinner out there every night. The bench seating is much nicer for that space. We had so much fun. We've seen dolphins and have caught lots of fish. You are very lucky to have such a nice house here. Me and my family love it here! My family and I cannot thank you enough for sharing your beautiful home with us. "Island Peace" is a perfect name for it! We came here with my brother and his family. We are leaving with life long memories and a new sense of perspective on life. Being here provided my family with a stronger bond and new sense of "togetherness". We look so forward to coming back again for some more "island-peace". I dread leaving and returning to work, bills, and reality…but this can be my "mental escape" and "happy-place" whenever I need it. --

We had a great week at the beach! Your home is amazing! We had everything we needed. The weather was great all week and we had a blast. We caught lots of fish, one as big as 60 pounds. The Rosenberg-Anderson family enjoyed your lovely home! We cooked some wonderful meals using delicious Ocracoke Fish House flounder, scallops, and shrimp (the best). Ocracoke is a marvelous place that provided all five of us a week of natural beauty in gorgeous ocean surroundings, peace and tranquility! Cheers to Ocracoke, an incredibly special place on earth.
We've returned once again! Love it. The ocean has been so beautiful. Went clamming yesterday. This evening will do a clambake at the shore.
