Minnow is a sound front efficiency cottage for two located on Northern Pond. Rare opportunity for sound front accommodations with boat dockage and hot tub for those not requiring large accommodations. (Please Note: 2009 rentals will not include boat dock. There will be a single piling in the water to anchor your boat). This studio cottage offers a sleeping area with king bed, open living, dining and kitchen area and bath with tub/shower.

Amenities include wireless internet access, premium cable TV which rotates to be seen in both the living and bedroom, Cinemax, HBO and Showtime, DVD, stereo with CD, phone with free unlimited domestic long distance phone service, microwave, stack washer/dryer, ceiling fans and hotel style heat/air system. Additional amenities include book library, board games/puzzles, card table, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. No dishwasher.

Exterior offers a large sound view screened porch with both dining table and seating area, hammock, outdoor hot tub with sound view, sandy beach, single piling in the water to anchor your boat, 2 person kayak, outdoor hot/cold shower and charcoal grill. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOT TUB WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FROM DECEMBER 12, 2009 THROUGH MARCH 27TH, 2010.

Linens provided (sheets and towels) and beds made for your arrival. No Pets. No Smoking. Maximum 2 people, including children. Limit of 1 vehicle. No Partial Week Stays.

Love the Minnow! The quiet pond was exactly what we needed. The house has beautiful simplicity with a great hot tub! We now have to stay on the sound from now on. Grew up coming to Ocracoke and it was my first trip on the sound. We made lots of duck friends and loved every minute! -- The Youngs

This was my very first time visiting the Outer Banks. It is absolutely beautiful! The Minnow is the perfect little place to stay. It is so cute and I love the hammock! We had a fantastic week here, went to the beach almost every day. John and I got engaged the first night here. This place will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope to come back for many years to come. Now we are off to spend our last night here at the beach to fish and watch the sunset. -- Shannon and John

Another soul enrichment and recharge on lovely North Pond and the Isle of Ocracoke. The Minnow was perfect for us with everything we needed to relax and be comfortable. Napping on the porch hammock was a real treat as were starry nights in the hot tub. The private beach and swimming hole were great. Novice kayakers, but enjoyed giving it a whirl in the mornings. -- Paul and Kathy

It is awesomely beautiful sunshine here at The Minnow this morning. Today concludes a week spent here at this dear little cottage with windows on the water. We have been blessed by good weather all week. A couple cool days perfect for biking around the village. The hot tub at night was incredible. The stars in the sky were breathtaking. Now it is time to bid this place farewell. It is our hope that all who come here find the peace and relaxation, the quiet and contented joy that we have had this week here at The Minnow on this Pearl of the Outer Banks. -- Thorpe and Miller

The Minnow is great. It is so much more than we anticipated. It is cozy, cute, convenient and comfortable. But most important, is its charm. This cottage has clearly been loved and cared for throughout the years. We had lots of sun, warm temps, and a lot of time for shopping, kayaking, walking and just plain loafing around.
