 This beautiful Ocracoke Island vacation home is located in a peaceful residential setting. Bright and breezy, Oyster Slide offers an open floorplan, perfect for family gatherings and a nice large screened in porch and deck to extend the living space. The back and side yard is perfect for a game of frisbee or horseshoes.

This comfortable home offers two bedrooms. one with a King sized bed and one with a Queen sized bed. The downstairs den can also function as a third sleeping area complete with a double sleeper sofa. Twin Rollaway Bed is also available. Oyster Slide has two full baths and one additional half bath.

Additional features that add to the comfort of this home include central heat and air conditioning, ceiling fans, a full sized washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, 4 cable TVs with Showtime, 2 DVD players along with DVD library, wireless internet access, a stereo with CD player and Cassette player, and telephone. To help pass the day Oyster Slide also provides misc toys and board games and puzzles - great for family togetherness.

The exterior offers a large, furnished, covered porch, spacious screened porch with 2 hammock chairs, backyard sun deck, the very popular hot and cold outside shower, fish cleaning bench, fenced yard and park style charcoal grill perfect for cooking the days catch.

No Pets and No Smoking Please. Maximum occupancy is limited to 6 people, including children.

This home does not provide linens. Linens, bikes, beach gear and more are available through Beach Outfitters. Please visit "Beach Outfitters Rentals" under our Rentals tab.

Oyster Slide will accept partial stays of less than a week (3 night minimum), but may only be booked within 1 week of your desired arrival date. Please call the rental office at 877-646-2822 to book your partial week stay or you may book online under the nightly tab on this property page.

I've come to the Island every year. I've stayed in many houses but this one was absolutely perfect! It had everything we needed and more. We didn't need the roll away bed. The internet was needed for my husband; he has to keep in touch with work. My 9 year old grand daughter took over the "little living room" with the swinging doors. That was her playroom. We have had a great week staying in your beautiful home. The weather has been amazing!! Clear blue skies and 80's everyday. We enjoyed the chance to get away and relax. The beach made us home sick (we are originally from New Zealand). We appreciated having internet available and used it everyday. We did use the roll away bed as our toddler is learning to sleep on a "big girl" bed, and this was a much kinder height. All in all, we had a wonderful stay; exploring the town, playing on the beach, and reading on the deck. -- The Schofield Family

We really enjoyed out stay at your home. It is very homey how you have it decorated. The kitchen was my favorite, I couldn't want for anything. There were supposed to be four of us staying but there ended up being just me and my husband. We had great relaxing evenings after long days at the beach. Love the master bath shower. Also we really liked the rooster that crowed at sunrise! The only thing I think could be improved is the TV in the master bedroom, maybe bigger and dvd player adaptable. But that isn't anything. We will stay here again, hopefully next year!

P.S. My husband enjoyed all the fishing magazines-nice touch

God has blessed us with many things in our lives and this house where we know we can get away too is one of them! Like the extra touches you've added which gives my daughter her own space. It is so peaceful and most of our neighbors are very friendly, especially Bobo. Everyday that he made a visit to us we felt like we were at home. We had a great spring break in Ocracoke once again. My mom and I joined her twin sister and my cousin halfway through the week. The house was a very nice host of our girl's week. We really enjoyed eating out on the screened porch and playing cards in the little living room wing. The weather was mostly nice, with some storms in the beginning of the week, but it cleared up when my mom and I arrived. We saw some beautiful birds and an amazing dolphin show, jumping and all. Overall, it was a relaxing much needed break. Thanks for letting us rent your house! -- The Pond and Dudley Families

Many thanks for a terrific stay in your home. Things were a bit scary weather wise on Saturday night but Ocracoke was spared. The worst of it was strong winds.

The "Year of the Starfish"!! We found over 30!!! Out little family had such a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We loved staying in your cozy, clean house. We were lucky that "Earl" left town the day before we arrived and we had perfect weather for 7 days in a row! We have been visiting Ocracoke for over 25 years and your house ranks with the best of them. Loved the little den, which was a perfect hang-out for our 5 year old son. Enjoyed the movies and books. We are huge fans of the screened in porch. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The dual shower heads in the master bedroom were an awesome and fun surprise. We have been so blessed this year to spend two weeks on beautiful Ocracoke Island. We've been coming here for about 5-6 years and we never tire of how incredible peaceful and relaxing the island is. This is our second year in this house and we hope to return for a third. It really does feel like home away from home. You guys have thought of everything we need. The house is so well maintained. I love all the blankets and rugs! We would have to agree with others that a pool or hot tub would make the place even more perfect but we really like it with or without. Wow! This was our second stay in your wonderful home. We truly feel like this place is a home away from home and can't wait to return next year. This was our third trip to this fabulous island and we have more fun each time. Tylor bought his first surfboard at "Ride the Wind". (Mike was a HUGE help!) the surfing was ok- it was either flat or crazy (due to Hurricane Bill!) We all wish we could stay for another week, but work and school await us back home. Ocracoke is a very special place to our family, some members have been coming here since the '50's. Since 1986 we have been staying at my grandmothers however she moved off, "up island" several years ago. After a 3 year absence this was my first trip back, first time every not staying at "Ma's" house. Your house was great, it was perfect for relaxing and enjoying Ocracoke. Hello! Your house was truly wonderful! We enjoyed eating at Jason's a lot and would recommend the coffee shop as well. I went there every morning. The porch is great to sit out on at night and the chairs in the back are useful for extra tan time. Your house is beautiful and it really honestly saved our vacation! We might be the first Romanians visiting your vacation home in Ocracoke, but we agree with everybody else: it's a wonderful place to spend a peaceful, mellow, satisfying vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.
