Relax and enjoy the cool Pamlico Sound breezes from the large, comfortable screened porch of this light and airy, family friendly Island home. Distant views of Pamlico sound provide extra enjoyment! Located on a quiet dead end road across the street from the Pamlico Sound, Pilot House is a short walk or bike ride to shops, galleries, restaurants and Silver Lake Harbor. Well maintained and well stocked kitchen perfect for creating wonderful meals!

Pilot House offers 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms each with a Queen sized bed and the third bedroom has 2 Twin beds. There are 2 full baths, the hallway bath with a tub/shower and master bath with shower.

Additional amenities included for your convenience are Wireless Internet Access, central Heat and Air Conditioning, ceiling fans, a full sized washer and dryer, a new dishwasher, a new gas stove, microwave oven, a stereo with CDplayer, cable TV, with DVD and VCR player, telephone, clock radio, and board games and puzzles to help pass the time on those rainy days or quiet evenings. Prepare sumptuous meals from local seafood and fresh ingredients in this well stocked kitchen.

The exterior offers a spacious, furnished, screened in porch with picnic table, open deck for enjoying the warm sunshine, under-the-house covered parking, a fish cleaning bench for the catch of the day and large private outdoor hot and cold shower with changing area - one of Ocracoke's signature amenities! Rest and relax in comfort at Pilot House.

Linens are not provided. No Pets and No Smoking Please! Maximum allowable occupancy is 6 people, including children and parking is available for 2 vehicles.

We enjoyed our stay immensely!! This home is lovely, comfy, well equipped and warm. The Island of Ocracoke is so friendly and welcoming with plenty to do and see. We are already looking at booking our next stay. From Ponies, to ghost crabs, pelicans and dolphins, it was a pleasure. Thank you so much for allowing us to "borrow" your house.

Thanks for a great week! The house was all we had hoped for. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer; everything supplied in the kitchen, the great location and everyone's favorite- the outdoor shower! It was so nice after a day at the beach to go directly to the shower to get rid of the sand. The dining area was nice and enough seating for everyone.
This was our first time to visit Ocracoke. The village is quaint and the beaches are beautiful! It was a fun vacation and we hate to leave. -- The Peterson's

Two weeks of pure bliss! This is our fifth year at Ocracoke and our fist stay at Pilot House. Your well equipped home was lovely to come back to after a day at the beach or shopping. The best outdoor shower of all the homes we have stayed in! Our son is 5 and is an airplane fanatic so the back bedroom was 'awesome' for him! We hope to keep Ocracoke as our 'family tradition' for years to come and are glad to have your home included in those memories. All the best.

Our stay at the Pilot House was very nice & pleasant! The beds slept really well. Great seating in the living room. Great idea with the cutting table in the parking area, we went crabbing. It helped a lot to get the dirt off. This is our 7th year at Ocracoke and in my opinion this is the most peaceful home yet! The screened porch was very nice (old folks loved it).

Our family has enjoyed a delightful week at Pilot House. We celebrated an 18th wedding anniversary and a 42nd birthday-both were exceptionally nice because they were spent here, in this lovely cottage, so well equipped and so comfortable. Everything we needed could be found right here, within these walls (including each other)! We enjoyed cooking our meals here, made from fresh, local ingredients like the scallops and fish from Ocracoke Fish Co (make sure you get there before they close at 4). Also ripe tomatoes from the vegetable stand-this is how food is supposed to taste. We will not soon forget the sweet, buttery flavor of the best scallops anyone has every tasted. Other highlights (beside the obvious choices of beautiful beaches and biking around the village) the Ocracoke Opry, key lime pie from Sweet Tooth, yoga with Amy at Deepwater Theater, having our portrait done on the beach by Ocracoke photo, and the Drum Curry from Thai Moon! Wow! Also the stars on the beach & chasing hundreds of ghost crabs that come out at night. We found Ocracoke & Pilot House to be the perfect place to get away from it all-we hope to come again soon! -- The Kingery Family

We have been coming to Ocracoke for some 23 years now! We so appreciate your lovely cottage and have stayed here off and on many times. I especially love the new furniture-what a great find! We also love looking at the water across the way in the lovely AM, with coffee. We always use the outside shower and spend most of our days at the beach reading and enjoying the water, sun and sand. Last year we stayed 2 weeks and hope we can do the same next year. We so appreciate your well appointed kitchen as I love to cook. -- Eileen & Ted Brown

We are the first guests of the year again! What a lovely place to relax and unwind. The beds are beautifully comfortable and the screened porch is one of the best features of the home. You can tell we love it because we came back for 2 weeks this year. We like the new furniture in the living room.
