TestimonialsAugust 2010 What a great way to end the summer - at Ocracoke! Hot sun, great waves, leisure days at the beach and nights at great local restaurants listening to music --
May 2010 A wonderful time! We enjoyed going to Portsmouth, the ghost walk, ranger talk, going out to Springer's Point, eating at Flying Melon and the Fig Tree provided excellent picnic fare for our trip to Portsmouth. Dajio's was so good we ate there twice. The patio was a lovely place to unwind. The house salad and mushroom empanadas were very good. Desserts were excellent and having the fragrance of the confederate jasmine was delightful. -- The Klimowics & Rohubeck families
May 2010 This is our fifth trip to Ocracoke and I believe each year is better than the last. We look forward to this week each year as we are so familiar now its like coming home. Pilots Landing is a wonderful comfortable home in a great location. We hope to be in this house next year, same time. The beaches are wonderful in the morning and evening as they are all but empty and you will have them all to yourself. We always enjoy eating at Howards, Flying Melon, Fig Tree and breakfast at the Pony. The shops are quaint and always have unusual gifts to bring back home to remind you of this lovely place. We had a fantastic time, it has just passed too quickly. Oh, make sure to rent bikes and see every inch of the island. Stop into Ocracoke Coffee and enjoy a smoothie on their deck. Have a great time! -- The Vaughn's, Jess Lyon, Everett, Pat & Josh
May 2010 Liked the owners sea theme decor. Loved that you include dogs now. Two couples were there and we had plenty of privacy. Thanks so much for a restful time. -- Jacqueline
May 2010 The house was great. The reservation process was wonderfully simple and easy. -- Shelly
May 2010 A wonderful week! We loved the house. Lots of shelling, shopping, eating & biking. Ocracoke is a magical place! -- Matt, Heather, Hanna & Matthew
May 2010 We had a wonderful week! We caught flounder, bluefish, mullet and a 44" red drum at the north part of the island after sunset, saw several sunrises & sunsets, star gazed on the beach at night, had the best crab cake sandwich on the island at Creekside, lots of time playing games. Titus, our mastiff puppy, also had a great first beach trip and discovered how much fun it is to dig in the sand. The house was great! Can't wait to come back to Ocracoke again in November! -- The Kelloggs
May 2010 A wonderful time! A couple of Oregonians visited with daughter and son-in-law who live in Greensboro. Wonderful time! We went to Portsmouth island. Lovely except for biting flies. Ghost talk with Philip Howard was excellent as was the ranger talk. Flying Melon had a good drum special. Fig Tree bakery provided excelling picnic for our trip to Portsmouth Island. Dajio was so good. We ate there twice. The patio was a lovely place to unwind. Playing in the ocean was great. Our 2 greyhounds had a wonderful time too! --
May 2010 What a wonderful weekend! We came down on Thursday night for the first time. The wedding of a close friend brought us here. Your house was lovely and we enjoyed every day here. We did karaoke at Howard's Pub after the wedding reception at the Flying Melon…both were great! The beach was hot and the water was cool…perfect combo! Thanks for a wonderful long weekend! -- The Arnest's, Dooley's and Alex

April 2010 We had a perfect week; found tons of clams, found sunshine everyday, saw dolphins, found Sand Dollar, bike rides, smoothies and smiles, sun rises, flew a kite, read books, played cards, watched movies together. Thank you for the much needed family getaway! -- George, Chris, Dan & Kate
March 2010 We had fabulous weather this week. It started out stormy with lots of wind and sand across Hwy 12. The rest of the week was sunny & warm. We started they day with sunrise on the beach (only a few of us) and the dogs loved the long walks on the beach and napping on the porch. Lots of good food and fun, fishing, fishing and more fishing. Only missed Jason's-didn't open until later in the month. Dajio was a nice surprise and the Back Porch was finally open early. This was our first stay in the house and it was wonderful-very comfy. Thanks for a wonderful week! -- Page, Steve, Cory, Kaiya, Shasta, Maggy
August 2009 This is our fourth stay in the house, and the first rainy day we've had to slow down and relax. Enjoyed the beach between storms. We appreciate the updates you have made to the house. We look forward to 2 weeks at Pilot's Landing in 2010. -- The Ware Family
August 2009 We love the live music, love the seafood and the relaxed pace of life here on the island. Nothing else to do but walk the dog, got to the beach, ride the waves and ENJOY. Can't wait for next summer. -- Anne Marie & Frank Wilson
