This charming cedar-shake cottage with wood floor and berber carpet is within view of the lighthouse and is located on the Pamlico Sound side of Ocracoke Island. This home is within walking distance of the harbor, shops, and restaurants.
2 bedrooms; each w/Queen bed, 2 full baths with showers (no tub). Queen size sleeper sofa in living room.
Amenities include large screened porch, sundeck, well-equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and waffle maker. Cable TV with HBO and Showtime, VCR, DVD, DVD/VHS library, wireless internet access, iPod speaker system, stereo, central AC/heat, telephone, answering machine, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. Toys/games and board games/puzzles, book library and hair dryer.
The exterior offers a screened porch, covered parking, fish cleaning bench, hot/cold outdoor shower, picnic table and park style charcoal grill.

What a lovely relaxing cottage. We've been coming since 1990 and this is the best place we ever stayed. The porch is so wonderful and relaxing and the inside is just so cozy. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house! The location is perfect. This was our first visit to Ocracoke and we can not wait to return. Every day we spent time at the beach or the sound and we biked most of the Island. Along with visiting the cute little shops, we also got to go parasailing!! The view of the Island was amazing! We even saw the roof of the house right behind the Lighthouse! The back porch became one of our favorite hang out spots and we spent a lot of our time reading and eating breakfast there. Thank God for the screen so we didn't get eaten up by the bugs! :) Thanks again, we can't wait ot return again in the future! -- The Youngs

I don't even know where to begin! This is our first time in Ocracoke and we have fallen in love with the Island! We had great weather and spent all but one day at the beach. I became fascinated with the history of the Island and read two books before exploring every part I could. We biked all over "Down Point" and "Around Creek". Springer's Point and Howard Street were our favore spots. We also ate out almost every night - Dajio's was our favorite along with SMacNally's. Your home was perfect for us, and our 2 year old enjoyed all of your seashells. The back porch was our favorite spot. All of the furniture is so comfortable!
