Tastefully decorated and featuring a large open floor plan Saltmeadow is ideal for family gatherings. This home is further complimented by a second floor sitting area and third floor copula. Generous decks and screened porch complete this island vacation home.

3 bedrooms: 2 w/Queen Bed and 1 w/2 Twins. 2 ½ baths (whirlpool tub in master bath).

Central AC/heat, ceiling fans, 4 color cable TV's with DVD (one in living room and one in each bedroom), 2 VCR's, DVD library, stereo with surround sound, free unlimited domestic long distance phone service, wireless DSL internet connection, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, book library and board games/puzzles. The second floor sitting area offers a wet bar and mini refrigerator.

The exterior offers a hot/cold outside shower, screened porch, decks, picnic table, fish cleaning bench and park style charcoal grill.

Linens provided. No Pets. No Smoking. Maximum 6 people, including children. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Partial stays of less than a week are welcomed and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. You may either call the office at 877-646-2822 to book your partial week stay or you may book online under the nightly tab on this property page.

Our first time on the island was great. The house we rented was just as it was advertised but even better. It was clean and spacious and equipped with a great kitchen. The availability of linens made our packing so much easier. So, no question we will be back and we would even rent the same house again. Thanks so much for your attention to detail. Had a great time here! The weather was gorgeous. The house is magnificent-thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Main events of the week: lots of beach time, watched a whole season of 24, cooked fish, got car stuck in sand looking for birds and saw many crabs and shells! Our week together was so sweet. Our silence together was rich. The moon blessed us nightly. It was so hot! Our hands across the sea day was beautiful, swimming and then lunch at The Jolly Roger. Every day had its own charm!

First off, our trip was wonderful! We were lucky enough to go to the almost-empty each just about everyday to go searching for shells that we would never find where we live. The best parts of our trip, however, just consisted of sitting on the porch at night taking it all in. so, I've finally figured out the long sought-after equation for the perfect vacation…Jeannie + Verne + Stephen + Caroline +Saltmeadow + Pina Coladas + Scrabble + Seashells + beautiful sunsets + friendly people + kayaking + birthday fun - frowns - rainy days = perfect vacation! A great time was had by all! A great house with a great layout. Can't think of a better place to spend Thanksgiving 2009 and my daughter's 13th birthday. My mother rented 2 homes for the extended weekend. Third time's a charm! The moment we walked into your home, we knew this was it! Aesthetically soothing, energetically positive. We love the decks for every occasion and elegant rooms. I love Ocracoke! This is the 4th time I've been to Ocracoke. I have been to this house 3 times. I always get the room with the pull out couch and mini kitchen. I love Ocracoke! What an amazing house you all have! We enjoyed yet another fun filled week here on Ocracoke. Weather was great, food was delicious, fishing was better than it has been and the house was more than relaxing! This house most definitely goes on the top of our list. The porches were very nice and we loved the selection of DVD's as we tried to stay awake to watch them. Warm weather, 80's to low 90's during the day and 70's at night. Some rain but mostly sun and clouds. This is our 2nd year at Saltmeadow. We first came to Ocracoke in early 60's as campers with our young children and now have (through the intervening years from camping to motels to rental houses) come with our grandchildren. Beautiful weather all week! We've been coming to Ocracoke for many years and it was our first stay at Saltmeadow. The house was great and very comfortable for our gang of six. We participated in the 4th of July sand sculpture contest with my sister & her family and my brother-in-law and his family. We made giant sea turtles and won best in show which was fun. The kids bought hermit crabs to bring back to friends & family. Thanks for sharing your home! -- The Hamlins
