Sunset on Trent features a reverse floor plan with three bedrooms on the lower level. The master bedroom offers private covered deck access and a private bath with shower. A lower level hallway bathroom offers a tub/shower. A second deck is located at the rear entryway.

Upstairs, the open living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The living and dining areas are enhanced with cathedral ceilings that add to the comfortable and casual atmosphere. Sliding glass doors lead to an open deck and further to the screened porch. The outdoor areas invite you to entertain friends and family or enjoy al fresco dining. The half bath is located on the second level.

Three bedrooms: (1) w/King, (1) w/Queen, (1) w/2 Twins. 2.5 baths.

Central AC/heat, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, phone, answering machine, large kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, waffle maker, ice cream maker, 2 cable TVs each with DVD/VCR, VHS and DVD library, a third TV in the living area for use with Nintendo 64, three iPod speaker systems, stereo w/CD/cassette, wireless internet access, Copier/Fax Machine (will require calling card for long distance)/Printer/Scanner. Board games, puzzles and book library. Clock radios, iron and ironing board and 2 hair dryers. High chair, booster seat, 2 baby gates, baby stroller and pack & play.

The exterior offers covered parking, a fish cleaning bench, deck swing, picnic table, hot/cold outdoor shower and park style charcoal grill.

This home provides bed sheets, but no towels. Towels, bikes, beach gear and more are available through Beach Outfitters. Please visit "Beach Outfitters Rentals" under our Rentals tab.

No Pets. NON-SMOKING. Maximum 6 people, including children.

Partial week stays of less than a week (3 night minimum) are welcomed at this Outer Banks vacation home and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. We are spending our second week in Sunset on Trent. We spent a week here last May as well. After almost 20 years of camping at Ocracoke's National Beach, we have enjoyed staying in town rentals for the last four years. We love the floor plan with living space on the top, and we've enjoyed our wine and chocolate on the deck each evening. We always bring a bag of books but (as last year it rained a lot) we also sampled a few of yours. This week we had great sun every day-good for a little beach visit. We're addicted to the coffee drinks at the Coffee Shop and to the fact that we can go everywhere on foot in Ocracoke. Thanks for all the little touches. Which give your guests a wonderful stay.

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon here April 17-24, 2011. We got engaged here 10 months ago and wanted to come back for our honeymoon and stay at a beautiful home, and that we did! This is a wonderful home and we love the pull through driveway, double entries, very 'huge' bedroom, large living area and very spacious kitchen. We loved every minute of our honeymoon in this home. Thank you for this beautiful home and island that we both love. We will be back many, many times and hopefully bring our children to experience this paradise we have.

Wanted to write and let you know that my family and I had a splendid time at Sunset on Trent back in May! Your home was just right and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed! We also appreciate your willingness to work with our wacky schedule request. As my husband was recouping from surgery....it certainly lifted his spirits to be able to hang out in Ocracoke....a family favorite vacation spot!! We will definitely keep your home on our list to revisit when we can schedule another visit to the island!

Well this is our 11th trip to the island in as many years. We've stayed in various places, but this is by far our favorite! With the exception of 1 day, the weather has been wonderful - Highs in the 80's with light breezes. We've caught lots of fish- puppy drum, trout, blues, flounder and pompano. Enough to eat a while here & plenty to freeze for at home. A week never seems long enough! Thanks for opening your home to us once again. It gives us a chance to share your piece of heaven on earth.

This is our seventh visit in ten years and we drive over 800 miles just to smell and taste the Ocracoke air. We love everything about the Island and staying in your house made it that much more enjoyable. We had a very relaxing trip. I love this little town. We enjoyed the house and loved the swing on the porch. We also had the best weather ever!! Going parasailing was quite an adventure. This was voted "America's Best Beach" for a reason. Our family will return. -- The Castagnettos

Well, tomorrow we are leaving. We loved the house! The outside shower was an awesome bonus! It was really cool that we were at the beach! It was so beautiful! Howard's Pub was a really nice place! The porch was a really nice place and the view was kind of pretty! We thought that it was a really nice place. We may stay here again and enjoy it again! Thanks for all your games and movies! Well, we're going home tomorrow and its been a great week. The weather has been wonderful, the house has been relaxing. We feel refreshed! Thanks for opening up your home to us. I've been coming here for the last 25 years and each year it gets better and better. I remember coming to the island with my grandparents when I was just a little girl & spending the summer here. We are departing after a wonderful week on the island. We enjoyed sun and fun. The house is lovely, very spacious and comfortable for the four of us. We were unable to cook out and enjoy the outdoors due to the mosquitoes! Fortunately you had many wonder restaurants to choose from. We did not have a bad meal during our stay. The beaches were great to be able to drive on. The guys enjoyed the surf casting even though they didn't catch fish. Hopefully your next visitors will enjoy their stay too! -- The Conroys

After many visits to Ocracoke we have finally found a place to accommodate our large group of friends. We have stayed many places but this is by far the best yet! Everything from the spacious kitchen, washer/dryer, screened in porches and roomy area below far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed many days on the sunny beach, bicycle rides around the island and karaoke @ Howard's Pub. We all look forward to visiting the island again next year!!
