Tolson House is an island home offering lots of light filled spacious rooms. The private location is perfect for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. This soundfront home offers private docking, a large water side screened porch with magnificant sound and salt marsh views. Enjoy the convenience of two outdoor showers!

3 bedrooms: Master Bedroom with King and private half bath. 1 w/Queen size bed and 1 w/2 Twin beds. Total 1 ½ baths.

The well stocked kitchen offers microwave, dishwasher, blender, food processor, crock pot, mixer, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, electric can opener, salad spinner and plenty of cooking and bakeware. Central AC/H, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, expandable interior drying rack and iron and ironing board. 2 TV's with premium cable including Cinemax, HBO, Showtime and The Movie Channel. Stereo/CD, DVD, iPod speaker system, book libary and phone.

The exterior amenities include private docking, a fish cleaning bench, park style charcoal grill, 2 hot/cold outdoor showers, hammock, screened porch with hammock swing and picnic table. Large deck. Basketball hoop.

No Linens. No Pets. No Smoking. Maximum 6 people, including children. Maximum 2 vehicles.

Partial week stays of less than a week (3 night minimum) are welcomed at this Outer Banks vacation home and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. Us Pittsburgh based siblings and their spouses seeking a good time on "the island." Three of us had been here before and three of us found paradise in this welcoming, well thought house "Wits End." We had another fantastic week here! We have always loved Wit's End, but it is even better with its fresh new look. We went kayaking every day (Ride the Wind will deliver kayaks to the house), rode bikes to town, shopped, walked the beaches, rode horses on the beach one evening (highly recommended) and (of course) ate at our favorite restaurants. Pony Island Restaurant is our all-time favorite; Howard's Pub is also a good place to eat. We spent endless hours reading or just sitting and smiling on the screen porch. We love watching and listening to the birds! We also enjoyed petting the gray cat that visited the front porch every evening. Thank you Tolson family for sharing this magical place! Wonderful home in a wonderful setting. Very nice decor and equipped kitchen. Nice radio for listening to the local Ocracoke radio station. Carry out from Eduardos Mexican Stand was outstanding. Great relaxation for us city slickers. Ocracoke is paradise! We will be back again. Thank you for your efforts to make it so comfortable.

The place is beautiful! My son said it best: "This was already the best home on the island. Now it's even better." Thank you for all the improvements, especially to the master bedroom. It is gorgeous! We also appreciate TWO outdoor showers. Once again, we spent lots of time on the porch. We also appreciate the crock pot and all you added to the kitchen (how nice to spend the day at the beach and come home to dinner all ready!). We had another amazing week in your beautiful home.
