2009 Photo Contest Winners

For the second year, the staff of Ocracoke Island Realty had the pleasure of viewing the many beautiful and inspiring photos submitted to the Ocracoke Island Realty Photo Contest. This year over 480 photos were submitted by our guests, vacation home property owners and Ocracoke residents.

We would like to thank the many people from across the country who sent us their images of family vacations, sunrises and sunsets, island landmarks, family pets and the natural beauty of the place we call home. Along with the photos, we enjoyed the personal notes and descriptions that accompanied the entries.

The photos were amazing and it was too difficult to choose just one winner, therefore we also selected five honorable mentions.

Congratulations to Aris W.M. of Atlanta, GA, the Grand Prize winner in the 2009 Ocracoke Island Realty Photo Contest. Aris was awarded a two-night stay at The Castle Bed and Breakfast located near Silver Lake in the heart of Ocracoke Village.

The five individuals given honorable mention will receive $100 off a future stay with Ocracoke Island Realty along with a pair of weekly bike rentals from Beach Outfitters.

Receiving honorable mention were Maggie M. of Amelia, VA, Greg G. of Morristown, NJ, Lynne D. of Summerville, NC, Earl B. of Mount Union, PA and Jeannette P. of Ocracoke and the Bahamas.

Many of the photos submitted will appear on our Website, our Blog, our 2010 Rental Brochure, the 2010 Ocracoke Island Realty Calendar and within other written and online correspondence. We hope you enjoy this amazing photography as much as we did!
