We offer a full service vacation rental and sales office, maintenance and housekeeping services, along with Beach Outfitters which offers rentals of bikes, beach gear, linens, cottage items and more.

All of our staff members are residents of Ocracoke Island.  Some of us consider ourselves locals and others live on Ocracoke as the result of a dream come true.  We are happy to share our love of Ocracoke Island, assist you in learning more about what Ocracoke has to offer, places to visit, and great restaurants you might like to try.

Property Locations and Travel to Ocracoke

Travel mapping websites may not be 100% accurate in representation of property locations and travel instructions once on Ocracoke.  Maps, including that found on our property’s Location Tab does not show all current homes or those under construction. If you have any questions about property locations please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Planning your Vacation

Our vacation specialists are available seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by calling us at (866) 806-0782. We invite you to browse our properties online, view photos and review details of each property.  Our website is available for online reservations, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We Offer Flexible Stays

Most of our vacation homes rent weekly with check-in either on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.    Many of our properties offer Partial Week Stays which may be booked two weeks prior to your actual arrival date.   Another option for partial week stays is “Stay Your Way” properties.   These properties offer a full or partial week stay with any arrival and departure date.  “Stay Your Way” properties offer mini vacations that can be reserved with no advance booking restrictions.  A three-night minimum applies to stays of less than one week.

Travel Protection Insurance

Ocracoke Island Realty has partnered with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide our guests the opportunity to purchase Trip Preserver® coverage. Trip Preserver provides trip insurance, emergency assistance and travel services, coverage for hurricane evacuations and family emergencies such as illness or death in the family.  Travel insurance is included automatically with your reservation, however the insurance is optional. If you do not wish to purchase travel insurance, you may decline the coverage.  Please note that refunds will not be made for hurricane evacuations without travel protection insurance.

Office Services

Guests of Ocracoke Island Realty sometimes find the need for office services while on vacation.  We offer a guest computer and copy and scan of documents.

Our Repeat Guests

We are happy to offer our guests the first option to pre-reserve the same home for the next year for the same corresponding dates; you have first choice! But please remember, if you choose not to take advantage of this pre-reservation privilege, the week and home will be open for rent to the general public on a first-come basis.

Beach Outfitters

Beach Outfitters (under new ownership for 2023) is located at 804 Irvin Garrish Hwy next to First National Bank. Beach Outfitters offers rental of bikes for adults and children, linens, baby equipment, beach gear and other convenience items.
