2023 OCRACOKE PHOTO CONTEST

OCRACOKE ISLAND REALTY INVITES YOU TO SHARE YOUR FAVORITE OCRACOKE ISLAND PHOTOS WITH US!  

WE ARE EXCITED TO PRESENT THE 2023 OCRACOKE ISLAND PHOTO CONTEST! 

The Grand Prize Winner will receive $500 off a stay anytime with Ocracoke Island Realty. Seven (7) category winners will receive a $100 gift certificate toward purchase at a selection of Ocracoke eateries. The contest will be open for entries from now through October 31, 2023. Winners will be contacted via the email used to submit the photo, announced on our website, Facebook page, and as an official press release.

CATEGORIES:

1. Ocracoke Sunrises and Sunsets: Submit your favorite photos of the truly magical red and orange colors of a sunrise or sunset on Ocracoke Island.
2. Beach Scenes: Submit your favorite photos that capture the beauty or good times experienced while enjoying the beach on Ocracoke Island!
3. Wild Life: Submit your favorite photo of any wildlife that you have captured while vacationing on Ocracoke Island. Please don’t submit your photos of your pets in this category – we have reserved a separate category just for them!
4. Pets: Submit your favorite photo of your 4-legged family member enjoying time on Ocracoke Island!
5. Ocracoke Landmarks: Submit your favorite photos of Ocracoke landmarks that you have captured. This may include but not limited to: the lighthouse, nature preserves, museums, historic buildings, homes – anything that you interpret as an Ocracoke Island landmark.
6. Around the Village:  Submit your favorite photos of scenery and good times in Ocracoke Village.
7. Ocracoke Fun:  Submit your favorite photos of family and friends enjoying good times on Ocracoke.

RULES:

By submitting your photos, you agree to the Rules stated below:

1. Photos must have been taken on Ocracoke Island, on your ferry ride, aerials, or enjoying the waters surrounding Ocracoke.

2. Please submit photos in a High-Resolution JPG format.

3. Entries will be judged on the subject matter, quality of image, and composition. So pick your best photos for entry. You may enter as many photos as you like.

4. Enter only photos taken by you or a family member and with permission of the family or other recognizable individuals in the photo.

5. No professional photographers, please.

6. By submitting your photos, you grant Village Realty Holdings, LLC (Ocracoke Island Realty, Beach Retreats by Village Realty, The Castle B&B, The Anchorage Inn & Marina, and Bluff Shoals Motel) 

permission to use your photo submission(s) for use in any of its marketing, advertising or promotional materials at its discretion without payment or any other consideration.

7. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

8. Please do not submit any photos that have timestamps or text added.

9. By submitting an entry you agree to receive email communications by Ocracoke Island Realty. You may opt out at any time.
