This year’s Ocracoke’s Pirate Jamboree marks the 300th anniversary of Blackbeard’s beheading. The event this year will span four days, starting Thursday evening and ending Sunday at lunch.

Thursday is a ticketed event at the Berkley Barn with author Kevin Duffus and music by the Motley Tones. There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres, food, beer, and wine. Canons will fire at 11am Friday at the Wahab House docks to kick off the event. Then the jamboree will continue through the weekend with viewing the pirate ships at the NPS docks, browsing the Brigand’s Bazaar, learn about Blackbeard, listen to great music, and much more. New this year is Captain Jim’s Magic show which is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.
