Celebrate Ocracoke’s pirate history at the 2021 Blackbeard’s Pirate Jamboree

The Blackbeard's Pirate Jamboree commemorates the last days of Blackbeard the pirate, who was killed off Ocracoke on November 22, 1718.

Piratical fun for the entire family

The jamboree offers swashbuckling fun and pirate history for the entire family. 

2021 Blackbeard’s Pirate Jamboree

Events will kick off on Friday with the Brigand's Bazaar, music by the Motley Tones, and the family friendly 1968 film "Blackbeard's Ghost" followed by a discussion with historian Kevin Duffus.

There will be authentic Colonial encampments, sword fights, music, lectures, artifacts, reenactments, and more.  Experience interactive living history exhibits, sea chanteys, and a shopping marketplace of seafaring fine arts and wares.

Experience the three boat battle between Blackbeard and Captain Maynard on Silver Lake Harbor.

The event will conclude with the annual Blackbeard Pirate and Royal Navy Memorial Service.
