"Well, I am beginning to sound like a broken record about this lovely Ocracoke Island Vacation home. My wife and I spend last week on Ocracoke Island in Point of View. I checked with Ocracoke Island Realty and this was our 10th stay in this home in the last 11 years. The only year we have missed was the year of COVID. The owner of this lovely Island home continues to invest in the home. This past year the owner has had a lovely metal roof installed, added two new large, big as life, picture windows in the rear of the home facing the Pamlico Sound. I was also impressed that the few items that I noted last year that needed attention were all fixed this year. I am always amazed that year after year this home continues to stay in great condition. In other vacation homes that we have rented on Ocracoke the homes have began to show a lot of wear and tear over time. This home however, is as nice today as it was 10 years ago. I take from that, that there are many repeat renters for this home that feel about it as we do and the owner is very meticulous about the care and maintenance of the home. We had an absolutely perfect weather week with only one day of rain. My wife and I kayaked a lot in the Sound and Inlet. We also brought our personal transporters, the Segway I2's, and enjoyed riding them all over Ocracoke Village. So good to see the islanders that reside here all year long doing so much better post Hurricane Dorian. There are also a number of new homes being built on the island, most of them replacing ones that were destroyed by Dorian. We have already made our reservation for this home next year. Just want to say thank you to the owners of this lovely Ocracoke Home. They have made this a special place to stay and a great place to relax."

Another Great Stay at Point of View!
Due to the Pandemic of 2020 we had to move our stay at Point of View until May of 2021. We sorely missed not being on Ocracoke Island last year and staying in this lovely water-side home. We were so pleasantly surprised to arrive and see the magnificent upgrades that have been done to this home. The owner had 3 large picture windows installed on the first level and 1 large picture window installed on the second floor facing Springers Point and Teach's Hole. These windows provided hours of enjoyment just sitting and watching the water, wildlife, weather(storms), and boats. My wife and I enjoyed many meals just sitting in front of these "large as life" picture windows. We slept very well the whole week and as usual enjoyed watching the sunset each evening sitting on the porch facing the water. This is the perfect home on Ocracoke if you bring your own kayaks and bikes. You can just park them right under the house when not in use. We also enjoy the sand beach behind this home. It is great for getting some sun or launching our kayaks for a paddle over to the ocean marshes beyond Springers Point. We have already made our reservation for the same time next year. So good to see the island businesses and restaurants back open and thriving. "

Absolutely Wonderful Getaway!! It was peaceful and relaxing. The house is perfectly located on the island, and was comfortable for the whole family. There was a full moon during our stay which made sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee even more enjoyable with the water reflecting the moonlight. Wow. This vacation was absolutely unforgettable with no complaints. The rental is beautiful. There was everything that you could possibly need, the sound that the house is on is beautiful and peaceful with a lot of wild life. The sound is basically on Springer's Point which is also very cool and an easy walk with beautiful scenery. The local mart has everything you need with low priced great tasting steaks and fresh seafood. The restaurants are all mom-and-pop and we did not have a bad meal. The accommodations, the food, the weather, the view, the island in general.... you could not beat it. We are so thankful for our time at Point of View and we cannot wait to return!"

The house is roomy, immaculate, and well furnished. The location is great. But the best part is the awesome deck. It has an almost 270 degree view of Pamlico Sound and Springer's Point. Just a few minutes sitting on the deck in the breeze listening to the waves softly lapping at the small beach erases any stress you may have. This is our new favorite house in Ocracoke."

We have stayed at this lovely waterside home for the last five years. It has become our favorite place of all the lodging options on Ocracoke. This year my brother from Virginia joined my wife and I there. The back porch is our favorite part of the house. The porch is high enough to catch the sea breezes and is also high enough to keep an eye on all the boat traffic coming out of Silver Lake. We love the small beach behind the house which makes it easy to launch our kayaks and small sail boat (an inflatable). We bring our Segways to the island for transportation while on the island. Ocracoke is one of the best places in the US to navigate by Segway. This house provides easy access to electric receptacles and storage under the house for all our "toys". This was one of our best weeks on Ocracoke. Each year we think before we come will we want to renew our reservation for next year, and this year as in the past we decided to renew again for next year. Thanks for the upgrades that have been done to this home. "
