This beautiful and very popular reverse floorplan vacation home is back in the rental program in 2023 with a new name, Batgirl’s Hideout. Guests will enjoy a spectacular canal front location. This home provides breathtaking panoramic views from the elevated observation deck. Located at the end of a canal you will experience long range views. Enjoy docking at your doorstep and easy access to Pamlico Sound.

4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: Two Bedrooms each with a King bed, 1 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. A den offers a Queen sleeper sofa. One bathroom has a whirlpool tub.

The generous list of amenities includes complimentary satelitte Starlink internet access, central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, and internet TV. The kitchen offers a breakfast bar, microwave, and dishwasher. Washer and dryer. Fireplace is decorative only and not available for guest use.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers private boat dockage, bulkhead, a screened porch, decks, and observation deck. Outdoor shower, charcoal grill, fish cleaning bench, and a deck swing. Covered parking. Tesla, EV Charger.

Stayed November 2023

"Overall the house was great. The microwave definitely needs updated. It is starting to break apart at the handle. The fridge seemed to be touchy, and we had trouble getting it to cool down the first day. It would be really nice to have at least one or two more TVs either in the twin room, the den, or the master suite so that parents can watch TV and the kids have somewhere to play videos or watch other programming. The weather was pretty crappy for two days of our visit, so after playing as many card and board games as we possibly could, it would have been nice to have two separate spaces for adults, and kids to hang out in and take a break from one another. We love Ocracoke, but have never been there this late in the year. When the weather is bad and not much is open on the island to do, having more options for a family, when you are stuck inside, is huge. I'm sure in Summer and with good weather when fishing, kayaking and the beach are options, it is no big deal. Just something to think about for bad weather times and when renting to multiple generations."

"Our stay in Batgirl's Hideout was excellent. The place was clean, well appointed, comfortable and spacious. It accommodated our nine-member party with communal areas and enough space so that people could get away if they wanted to. Easy access to outside showers and hoses made it easy to keep the place clean during our stay. The washing machine needs replacement, but that's just regular maintenance. Of course, the location was wonderful with easy access to all points Ocracoke and allowing us to keep track of all boating coming into and exiting the canals. Great fun! We hope to be back next year."

"Our stay went very well. House could use a new microwave and fan in bedroom on the far right right of the front door does not work. Views over the canal at sunrise are lovely and the kids enjoyed swimming, kayaking and fishing off the pier. "
