"This is an amazing home and we are very appreciative that the owners are willing to share it with guests. The kitchen is a true cook's kitchen. The multitude of appliances and cookware are unusual in a rental home and made cooking great meals a breeze. The bikes and the kayaks are an incredible bonus and we used them almost daily. There are also a multitude of puzzles and games that my family used, especially on windy and chilly days. The outdoor space and views are unequalled on the island. Everything was in easy walking distance. We walked to Howard's, the Coffee Co, the Lighthouse and the nearby nature trail, SmacNally's, the Back Porch, the ferry landing, and the Flying Melon. Groceries are easily access directly across the street from Howard's. The homeowners have created a book recommending things to do and see on the island. It is not immediately noticeable but be sure to look for it. It highlights some of the things not to be missed on the island. We used the bikes on the biking/walking trail and on the beach. Don't miss the nature trail across the street from the campground. We used the kayaks for daily trips in the nearby coves. We also viewed the beautiful sunset from the kayaks. It really felt like we were family friends of the owners in their beautiful home. The arrival sets the tone for a wonderful adventure. You travel down the road in the marsh until you reach the end of the road. Then there is a private, secluded driveway that curves around to the house. Many thanks to the homeowners for sharing their special home. "
