2019 August 24 Mosby's Manor
What a wonderful place to stay for 7 days. It was a bit large for the two of us, BUT the surroundings were delightful. It was somewhat isolated, off the beaten path enhancing the tranquility of our stay. Mosby Manor was nicely equipped with a great deal of personal touches that added to a very charming and peaceful character. Before driving to Ocracoke, I made sure that my IPhone was updated with all my music, including 7 CDs of Molasses Creek; to my delight the Bose Speaker had the correct connection to make our stay even more enjoyable. The back screened porch off the dining room was superb for morning Java overlooking the marsh and Pamlico Sound with gulls and pelicans swooping over the water's edge or early evening vino - we hardly used the other 2 screened porches or the decks off the master suite. The MB layout provided an early morning view of Pamlico Sound before venturing down to make coffee. There were minor inconveniences that older homes possess like "not attempting to figure out the 3 remotes associated with the tellie, which we abstained from all week" AND the signage for depositing refuse needs to be improved. Our initial visit to Ocracoke Island was in 1985, several weeks before Hurricane Gloria and years before street names. 2019 was our 12 visit to Ocracoke and 16th total trips to OBX (4 trips to Corolla).Terrence & Adrienne216.526.7175"

Great quirky house. Stayed here about 20 years ago when Mosby was still around. Nice updates and perfect quiet location. Will come again."

On a quiet dead end road Mosbys Manor is the perfect beach house. The screened in porches overlook the beautiful marsh and sound views. The house is very clean and well decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you could need. We will be back! "

We stayed in Mosbys Manor Jun 1-8, 2019. This was the third time we have enjoyed this house. The location is wonderful: the house is surrounded by salt marsh and has a beautiful view of the sound. We enjoyed seeing all the birds and other wildlife in the marsh. The two first floor screened porches are perfect for these viewings. The locations of the two bedrooms in separate sections of the house make it a great arrangement for two couples. Updates to the property since our last stay in 2015 (keyless access, wifi, new siding, improved outdoor shower, new paint indoors and some new furniture) have made the house all the nicer. Parking is easy and the area is very quiet since the property is on a dead end road and there are only a few other houses. Were looking forward to staying in Mosbys Manor on another trip to Ocracoke."

We had a wonderful time, 2 of us returning after a stay at Mosebys Manor 12 years ago. The house is spacious yet cozy, allowing for a wonderful gathering area yet, enough spaces for privacy or solitude. Our trip was touch and go, with our arrival date a mere 9 days after Florence came ashore, but everyone on Ocracoke Island has been warm and welcoming and appreciative of us as visitors! We will be back!"
