Ocracoke of yesteryear meets modern comfort in this charming, cozy vacation rental. Silver Lake Harbor and the heart of the Village is a short stroll away. Hidden down a driveway behind Sorella's Pizza & Pasta.

Enjoy sipping your morning coffee on a private deck, or nap the afternoon away as you lounge in your quiet hammock! This home offers plenty of options for relaxation. Even the beds are made for your arrival!

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath: 1 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. Bath has tub/shower.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless Internet access, cable TV, and Blu-Ray DVD. Washer and dryer.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers front and rear decks, enclosed yard, hot/cold outdoor shower, gas grill, hammock and a double kayak. Life jackets are not provided, if you wish to rent them, please get in touch with Ride The Wind Surf Shop. They will be happy to assist.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly - Dogs Only. The owner prefers a limit of 1 small or medium dog. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Military Discount Available. Discount can only be applied at time of booking.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum.

Single story home: Living Room with TV/DVD. Eat-in Kitchen. Bedroom with Queen and bedroom with two Twin beds. Bathroom with tub/shower. Laundry room off twin bedroom.

Could have and Should have been perfect!

Luna Sea is an adorable cottage, both inside and out. It is very well appointed - especially the kitchen. We were hoping this would become an annual rental for us, but it definitely will not. I initially thought the problem we encountered was a recent one, and was all set to call the realty company; however, after reading the guest book, I realized it has been an on-going issue since 2016. I do not know if the rental company does not read the guest book (then what is its purpose?) or if they have chosen to disregard the problem. The issue is the driveway. The cottage is located behind a restaurant, and the Luna Sea driveway runs alongside the restaurant. There is a prominent sign posted that the driveway is private. The restaurant personnel disregard the sign. There were several times when we could not leave the cottage by car because the driveway was blocked - once for as long as 40 minutes. There were also times when we could not get back to the cottage via the driveway. The private drive issue was disregarded not only by restaurant personnel's personal cars, but delivery vehicles as well - which puts the responsibility right back on the shoulders of the restaurant owners. Unless you do not have a car, and wish to walk everywhere, it is a frustrating issue. Luna Sea could have, and should have, been the perfect Ocracoke vacation cottage for us.
Thank you for sharing your concerns and your praise for the house. We are sorry you encountered those delays while at Luna Sea. Please do give us a call if this ever happens again ( at any property) and we can work to remedy the situation. We certainly do not want our guests to be inconvenienced. We did share your comments with the property owner as well so that she can work with the businesses in front to keep this from happening in the future. Luna Sea is a great little cottage so we certainly do not want those businesses to continue to impact guests.

After coming to Ocracoke for about 30 years, we have found a cottage that we love. This was our second stay and we hope to have many more. We love cooking special meals with our family after a day on the beach and this kitchen is well equipped with special touches from the owner. We are looking forward to staying here again next year.

Luna Sea is a great cottage! Well appointed and an excellent location. We did reserve bikes for the week in advance of our arrival and they were never delivered, we called to inquire and they were promised again but never came. I would recommend just waiting and renting when you arrive.

We apologize that the bikes that you reserved from Beach Outfitters did not get delivered as they should have been. Beach Outfitters refunded your payment. However, we apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment. Your experience was less than the Beach Outfitters standard level of service.

We love Luna Sea! It has everything you need in the kitchen. We love sitting on the back deck. Having a golf cart gets you anywhere in a matter of minutes.

We loved Luna Sea. The cottage is very charming and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The BBQ on the deck allowed us to grill freshly caught fish and shrimp throughout the week. Both front and rear decks are nice and quite private. Plenty of parking and centrally located so we walked around the village every morning and afternoon with our dog. The bedrooms have comfortable beds with plenty of blankets if needed. The AC and WiFi worked perfectly. The couch in the living room was nice and big and our family of 4 enjoyed it every night as we watched movies and played games with the selection offered. The beach was a quick drive from the house, restaurants and coffee shops a quick stroll away. We ended up renting a golf cart for fun and our 9 & 12 year old loved it. Great location. We loved the place. From the kind note and gifts left by the owners to the included linens to the great and comfortable accommodations we loved the rental and are planning to return next year.

Luna Sea is a very charming, well equipped little beach cottage that is perfect for a small family (and their dog!) to enjoy everything Ocracoke has to offer. The kitchen is very well stocked, the house is very clean, the AC works great, and the location was perfect...almost centrally located, making everything Ocracoke has to offer easily walkable. While it's not a high end, luxurious beach front rental, Luna Sea was exactly what we were looking for; a simple, charming, clean cottage in a great location for me, my wife, and our dog to enjoy an amazing week in Ocracoke. I would not hesitate to recommend Luna Sea to anyone looking for the same, and would stay here again in the future!

We arrived on the island with our 12 year old, our 1-month old and a dog! Needless to say, we were worried that maybe the cottage would feel cramped! Not at all! Luna Sea was the perfect fit for our family - our oldest loved his room and had plenty of room to himself. We were able tofit our pack-n-play crib in the master bedroom with no issues! The cottage is so well appointed - we had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal! From a design standpoint, I really appreciated the way the cottage was decorated! And the pillows - some soft (the way I like them) and some firm (the way my husband prefers). The cottage boasts a fun movie collection and we stayed in a couple of nights and relaxed on the comfy couch. We love Luna Sea so much that weve decided to come back again for the summer and next Thanksgiving!
