This artistic cottage in a private Ocracoke neighborhood is as unique and beautiful as the shell for which it is named. Olivella has a special feel created by an open floor plan, high ceilings, eclectic artwork and antique lamps. Enjoy sitting on porches and decks including one on the roof to take in the incredible sunsets, stars and Pamlico Sound. This charming home has a fully equipped kitchen that is sure to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay during both summer and winter holiday seasons.

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: 2 with King, 1 with Queen.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 2 cable TVs, and 2 DVD players.

The kitchen offers 4 bottle wine refrigerator. Washer and dryer. Pack-N-Play. High chair.

Double door dog crate (42″L x 28″W x 30″H and includes an adjustable divider).

Outside, there is a covered front porch, a screened back porch with a dining table and chairs and a hammock for lounging, a second-floor deck to catch the afternoon sun, and a lookout deck on the roof. Hot/cold outdoor shower, fish cleaning station, park-style charcoal grill, café’ table with chairs, and a concrete picnic bench.

No linens provided. No Smoking.

Short Stays are available, there is a three-night minimum.

Property Layout:

First Floor: Open kitchen, dining, and living area with TV/DVD. Bedroom with queen bed, TV/DVD, and semi-private bath with shower. Laundry closet.

Second Floor: Master bedroom with king bed and master bath with soaking tub and separate shower. Master bedroom with king bed and private half bath.

Wonderful Olivella!

We had a most wonderful stay at Olivella on Ocracoke. The house was wonderfully designed and well laid out. Three bedrooms allowed for our group to spread out and have space and also come together. The house is located in Up Trent which is a lovely mostly residential area. It was very quiet while staying here. Internet was strong and worked great, even on the many outside spaces of which there are to enjoy. The screened in porch was nice and the views from the crows nest deck are hard to beat. The house and kitchen was well stocked with everything you could want or need. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was fabulous and functioned as a third house shower for our group. My only constructive criticism would be that the house lacked sunlight blocking curtains in the bedrooms. This meant we woke up with the sunrises which was fine for us on most days but could make it hard to sleep in. Check-in details and instructions were prompt and detailed and we loved how easy the digital lock was without having to fuss with a key. Our 7 nights at Olivella passed much too quickly and the wonderful home with its eclectic antique lamps and ‘beachy but not too beachy’ style contributed to a wonderful holiday on Ocracoke. We would stay here again with no hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Olivella Cottage and loved the warm artsy feel of the cottage. We especially liked the variety of outdoor spaces, large windows, well-stocked kitchen, assortment of DVDS, and books to use. The top deck has a nice view of the sound and is wonderful for viewing the changing colors in the sky at sunrise and sunset. Overall, the Olivella cottage worked well for us and contributed to making our vacation to Ocracoke even nicer.

Nice home that is beautifully furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. There was sufficient parking for three vehicles which was a must for us. Lots of books and DVDs. Our only complaint is the internet was non existent the whole week we were there and that could well have been a CenturyLink issue because the phone line was dead also. We will definitely consider this property again!

The house is full of creative, artsy touches and nicely furnished. We found new spices, honey, and a Bed and Bath hand soup available for us in the kitchen. Lots of books and kids' games, too.

We ended up in this house by chance. Luck was on our side. This house was beautifully furnished. Very much a home feel to it. Anything you can think of this house provides and much more.

The Olivella was nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. The warm, rainy week was fine for the group's Christmas bird count.

Wonderfully appointed home that is warm and inviting. Great kitchen space and family room. First time staying here and I will certainly return.
