Description

This lower level retreat is aptly described as a Scotch Bonnet. This small cottage is perfectly proportioned and perfect for two! The soothing and 'beachy' colors are a perfect compliment to your vacation experience.

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath: Bedroom with King bed. Bath has shower stall.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, complimentary wireless internet access and 2 Smart TVs with premium streaming services.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers a spacious gated sun deck in the front of the cottage which leads to the large fully enclosed yard. Scotch Bonnet offers an exterior washer/dryer and hot/cold outdoor shower accessed from the front deck. Park style charcoal grill.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly - Dogs Only. Maximum 2 people, including children. Limit 2 cars.

Military Discount Available. Discount can only be applied at time of booking.

Can’t stay an entire week?
This home is in the Stay Your Way program and can be reserved in advance with any arrival and departure date, your “mini vacation” is subject to a three night minimum. Yes, even in the summer! Stay Your Way homes can be booked months in advance.

On very rare occasions the second floor may be occupied for a short time by the owner. The second floor is not available as a rental property.

Single story home: Open floor plan with living area with TV, dining area and kitchen. Bedroom with King bed with TV. Bath with shower.

Deck Level: Exterior Laundry Shed and Outdoor Hot/Cold Shower.

When my husband began his search of vacation properties, the Scotch Bonnet caught his eye. Not only for the name, but location. This was our first trip to the Carolina's. We wanted off season for a more quiet vacation. We literally came to look for the Carolina's state shell, the Scotch Bonnet. It took us 3 days to find the first one. In total, we found 20. So, this beautiful little cottage brought us the luck we needed for first time shellers! We lined up our Bonnies on the front porch sign for a photo. The property was fabulous, and the fenced in yard was outstanding. As a dog lover, the thought of providing a couch cover so our fur baby could snuggle with us after a long day on the beach is tops. This is a beautiful little rental for any one traveling with their fur baby or husband! The location as fantastic, it is in walking distance to resturaunts, grocery,.shopping. And it is nestled into a quiet neighborhood. We loved it so much, we are planning a return trip....for more Scotch Bonnets.

I have been staying in Scotch Bonnet for 3 weeks and have enjoyed every minute. The house is perfect for my little dog and myself. The staff at Ocracoke Island Realty has been very welcoming and helpful. I hope to be able to spend more time here next winter.

Loved the large fenced yard for our furry traveling companion. Excellent location within easy walking distance to Ocracoke Oyster Company and other things. Bed was very comfortable. The shower is not made for tall people. Had a miscommunication regarding the clothes washer, which had already been winterized and not available for use. Called for service and maintenance person came but a washer hose is cracked so could not be used. Also key does not unlock sliding glass door. It must be used on the side door, which is not obvious when you arrive in the dark. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time on the island - again! We visited two years ago, and stayed at Captain's Landing. This year we decided to bring our dog, and Scotch Bonnett was perfect. The location and the big back yard were ideal. The big fig tree in the yard inspired my wife to buy one to plant in our own yard! We look forward to visiting Ocracoke again in the not-too-distant future.

Loved Scotch Bonnet !! Perfect little cottage for two with a nice location. The completely fenced in yard was awesome for our fur kid. Will definitely stay again for future visits.
