Description

Relax and enjoy the gentle breezes from the porches of this southern coastal style cottage on Ocracoke Island. Located on a quiet lane, Speckled Trout is within walking and biking distance to Silver Lake Harbor, shops and restaurants. Enjoy a pleasant stroll to the Ocracoke Coffee Shop. The spacious open living, dining and kitchen areas offer a perfect opportunity for family to relax.

2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths: 1 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. Bedrooms each have a private porch.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans in bedrooms, complimentary wireless internet access, cable TV and DVD player. Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers four porches (2 screened), hot/cold outdoor shower, a spacious back yard, charcoal grill and fish cleaning bench. The yard next door has chickens.

*This home does not provide linens.

No Smoking. No Pets. Parking is limited to 2 cars.

Military Discount Available. Discount can only be applied at time of booking.

Short Stays are available, there is a three night minimum.

First Floor: Open kitchen, dining and living area with TV. Half Bath.

Second Floor: Bedroom with Queen bed. Bedroom with two Twin beds. Shared Bath with tub/shower.

Such a fantastic week! We stayed at this house 14 years ago when we were a couple years into our marriage, so it has a special place in our hearts. The house is bright and very comfortable. When doors leading out to the front and back porches are opened, you get a wonderful breeze throughout the house - we hardly closed them all week. Of course, the house is older, the bed is pretty hard and uncomfortable, the above mentioned doors stick a little, but we love this house and love the quiet street. We are very much looking forward to coming back!

What an absolutely amazing week! Thank-you Ocracoke Island Realty! Can not say enough about how awesome you all are! You make it so easy and enjoyable!! Speckled Trout was all we hoped for and more!!! If only we could make it our permanent home! We could not have asked for a better place or better service for our first visit to Ocracoke. We will definitely be back, but will have to stay in a different home next time because we want to bring our dogs. We will definitely miss speckled trout. Thanks again you made our 25th anniversary,and our first honeymoon,very memorable.
