Typically departing from the dock 1 hour prior to sunset and returning shortly after sunset. The 46′ Sportfisher “Free Ranger” offers sunset cruises for up to 6 people. Portsmouth Island is one of the best places to go shelling in the Outer Banks. For the 2021 season you can schedule shelling tours (ATV’s tours not available). Shelling/fishing trips travel to the new inlet cut out by Hurricane Dorian. The Windfall II is a 32′ Lazy Jack Schooner designed by Ted Brewer. She offers 1.5-hour sunset sails daily and is also available for private charter. Departing from the Community Store Dock in historic Ocracoke village, she sails out onto Pamlico Sound and visits Teach’s Hole where the infamous pirate Blackbeard was beheaded in 1718. 252-928-724
