We had the best time in this wonderful house! It was close to Springers Point. The rooms are a nice size and the bathrooms are big. The tub was awesome! The porch was perfect. We sat there every morning and enjoyed coffee and a nice breeze, even on the hottest days. "

July 2018 stay
Mary Fisher Cottage is a lovely place. Spacious rooms and easy access to Springers Point and all that Ocracoke Island has to offer. "

My husband and I married by the lighthouse 25 yrs ago, had returned several times but last trip was in 2007. We were relieved that the island has not changed that much. Mary Fisher was wonderful- close to our Lighthouse and easy walking distance of shops, harbor, and restaurants. It is well-maintained, bright and airy. The screened in porch is large with a nice breeze. As with all homes on this side of island, neighbors are very close but it was always quiet at night and the one way street had less traffic. Only downside was no outdoor shower. However, we treasured our stay and it was special that our teenagers were with us as we renewed our vows. Ocracoke is always good for the soul ( and heart). "

I stayed in Mary Fisher for 6 weeks and found a real home away from home with all the comforts I needed (apart from the TV which I south of The Ark!). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with everything I needed to cook dinners for one and dinners for 6. The screened porch was lovely and cool, catching the breeze in the afternoon - a delightful place to sit and watch the world go by. The location of the house is ideal - easy biking distance to the village and walking distance of my favourite place on Ocracoke - Springers Point. The house is very light and airy with ceiling fans to supplement the a/c when it's really hot. Always a cool oasis to come home to! Thank you for being my home away from home on an island that I love "
