May 2017/18 stays
I've just found this review site, but I wanted to thank all of you who are involved in maintaining this villa. I stayed here for a week in May of 2017 and May of 2018, and it was wonderful. Villa Maria is within a walk or bike ride of everything in town and nearby, the view from the deck was lovely, and the place was cleaner than any rental I've found anywhere else. It's a very comfortable place to stay--light, airy, laid out conveniently. The books and games available for visitors to this villa are a really nice touch. It's also nice to have plenty of cookware and dishes already in place. All appliances worked well, too. The parking is great--right outside. One of my favorite things about Ocracoke is the number of animals (cats, dogs, ducks) there, and even the animals seem to respect visitors and move out of the way or just watch when we go by. The other people in this building were friendly and courteous without being intrusive. When I return to Ocracoke, I hope to stay at Villa Maria again. --dkc
