"Great place/location/decor. I'm a cook and loved eqpt in kitchen! Great knives ...... a rarity. Main bed very comfy. Loved the deck and dock. Would have liked instructions for TV.
Lighting awful. Too bright and no lamps to read by and no mood lights for dining. Considering upscale of everything, FIX the lighting!!"

"This cottage is clean, convenient and has a great kitchen. A previous review said the selection of pots and pans was limited but not now. New set of Green Pans that were great! Never used the pans I brought. My suggestion to the owner is to provide small sized bowls, adult beverage glasses and reading lamps in the living area. Otherwise the cottage was well stocked and comfortable. We would stay there again. We really enjoy the peacefulness, beauty, beaches, great seafood and friendly folk in Ocracoke. If you go check out the Ocrafolk Opry. Ocracoke has some talented musicians!"

"The house was noisy! The AC vent rattled, the kitchen exhaust fan rattled. The furniture, especially the deck furniture, was uncomfortable. The view of the sound is what redeemed it all, but even so, I won’t rent this house again. "

"House was comfortable and easy to live in for a week. Having the pier out back was a wonderful feature especially for those who wanted to fish. I would highly recommend this house and the rental agency was easy to work with."

"Dockside Sunset was a lovely property and a great place to show my Mom the island for the first time! The renovations to this home were lovely. They kept the charm of the old school beach cottage but updated all the right places. The access to the dock, the deck, the location, the sunset, the quiet street - made this a 5 star stay! Very small areas of improvement: If you are a gourmet cook, you may want to consider bringing any special cooking instruments you like to use. The kitchen, while beautiful, was a little shy on cookware. The beds were comfortable to sleep in but one rooms had a double mattress on a queen bed and it was "covered up by placing pillows" on the side of the bed.
Would 100% recommend this property to anyone! "

"This home is so welcoming! The post-Dorian renovations added the perfect modernizations without taking away the charm of this house. The home is well-equipped, comfortable, and of course, provides the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Having linens included and beds made is a nice bonus. Such a great vacation! I’ll be back!"

"The house was very modern and recently built. The small attention to detail in the kitchen and bathrooms made it feel like a luxury escape! We really liked how the house has ample storage in the pantry and fridge. Not much was open, so we did a lot of cooking at home. The covered porch and dock were simply amazing at sunset, and we left Zilles early just to make sure we were there to witness the natural beauty of the island. I would stay again in a heartbeat."

"Dockside Sunset lives up to its name, providing incredible sunsets over Pamlico Sound from its own private dock and large back deck right on the water. This totally modern house with its well-designed layout retains the vintage Ocracoke feel, yet offers every convenience needed.
Very comfortable beds and super clean throughout. Master bath has an incredible shower … you feel like you’re at the ocean! It has the perfect kitchen for preparing whatever meals you’d like with state of the art appliances, and bar stools make it a joy to hang out in the open kitchen dining area.
The upper deck is perfect for sunrises, star gazing, sun bathing or bird watching. This home is perfect for a couple or family looking to enjoy the peaceful northside of the village on a quiet road.
We’ve stayed at many houses & cottages during our 41 years visiting Ocracoke, and this one is our absolute favorite. Book it before it’s gone!
