This Ocracoke Island vacation home is a perfect choice for 2 couples or a small family. Off the beaten path yet conveniently located to village attractions. Enjoy a convenient walk to the coffee shop. Many other shops, galleries, and restaurants, as well as Silver Lake Harbor, are just a pleasant walk or bike ride away. Happy Place has a spacious open floor plan combining the living, dining area, and kitchen. Soak away the stress of the day in the wonderful claw foot tub! Escape to the second floor den.

Relax and read a book on the back deck or the spacious screened porch. For your pet or small children, the fenced side and rear yard are an added convenience.

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths: First floor bedroom with King and bath with claw foot tub (large enough for two). The open second floor is separated into two areas, one side has a Queen bed and the other has two Twins.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 2 cable TVs, one in the living room and one in the upstairs den. Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers a spacious, furnished screened porch, hot/cold outdoor shower, gas grill, and fenced side/rear yard with sundeck.

*Sheets and towels provided, beds made for 2024 season.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly. Limit of 2 Pets. Parking is limited to 2 cars.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

"I disliked having to personally deal with Silicon travel for internet issues. They never returned any calls until this morning, and our 2 week stay lasted until Sunday Oct 8. I had told them my husband had health issues and Dr appts, and pkease let us know if we would have internet at any time before the 8th. We checked for internet everyrday to see if we had to cancek his video medical appts which were online while we were away, and cancelled them day by day since we never got internet. Then while I was at work someone from Silicon travel called to say rhey needed to get into the house, meanwhile several large dogs were barking at him and sounded like they wanted to break down the door. They never had a way t o contact the new renters. There must be a better system. I am sure the new renters also have had issues with the remote for the tv that works sometimes but mostly doesn't. Anyway, 1 star for silicon for their lack of contact. The downstairs bed is pretty bad, I hope the new owners get a new boxspring at least. "

"Well equipped beach house - The home is old, but solidly built and very loved. It had everything that we needed. My family of 4 and 2 big dogs had a great stay. Great location, very private. We rented bikes and rode everywhere. The food on the island is way expensive and choices are limited, so we brought groceries from home and prepared almost all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. There was a tropical storm that hit rhe island during our stay, but we felt very safe in the house. We love the island and the house and would definitely stay here again."
