"Very good. Place is secluded in the trees so you don't feel surrounded by other houses. Neighbors were quiet, at least for our week. The house was very clean and well maintained. Would have gotten 5 stars if every burner on the horrible electric stove would have worked."

"Great vacation - The property on Tutles Lane is exactly as pictured on the Home Away site down to the slightly disheveled cushions on the sectional couch. Property was clean and suited our family of four perfectly. Property is tucked away from any traffic so it’s quiet and peaceful. A very easy walk or bike ride to all the restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend rented bikes. There’s no view of water from the property but it’s within a short distance so not a problem.
My husband and I took advantage of the outdoor shower since there’s only one full bath. This kept us on schedule. Kitchen could use a dish drain for any hand washing although there is a dishwasher. We did send a message to the rental company about the condition of the ceiling fan on the screened in porch and the need for the TV cable to be better mounted. Both were addressed while we were at the beach one morning. Overall, a good experience. Thank you!"

This our second year at this wonderful cottage for our anniversary, 35 years! This cottage is amazing, with all the comforts of home. We love the screened porch and the little sandy beach 2 min away. This is the perfect getaway after the hectic Christmas season. We love this island and this perfect cottage. Until next year, we are sad to leave!"

We had a great stay at Clara de Luna. It was a perfect secluded spot for us to relax and enjoy the sounds of the island. We had a lot of interesting visitors such as island cats, frogs, a bark centipede, and the biggest dragonfly we've ever seen. The house was comfortable, super clean, and nicely furnished. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and even had some extras. My favorite parts of the house would have to be the deep tub, screened porch, and outdoor shower. The realty staff did a great job locating this spot for us and helping us along the way. We can't wait to come back for our anniversary."

Once again a stay that rivals the Magic Kingdom at Disney, but without the cost and crowds. MY favourite get away spot in the world. Lonely Planet rates the Isla de Tavira Beach in Portugal as the best beach in the work. Been there and Ocracoke Beach is much better. Shop keepers here are so genuine and friendly. The food and pubs are terrific. A variety of waters to kayak. Cottages are in great condition and Ocracoke Realty is great at trouble shooting. This place is well worth my 18 hour drive."
