August 2022 Stay
There are pros and cons to this condo. We would stay here again. The cons weren’t deal breakers by no means. It really is a nice place just needs some maintenance/ improvements. We are already planning our next trip and plan to stay at the Horizon condos again. Pros- great, quiet location. Amazing views. Very comfortable beds. Spacious. All the appliances worked great. Well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay. Parking was great. No issues with the internet. Cons- there were some mold issues. Mold in ceiling corner of laundry room and in upstairs bathroom. Our phone chargers would literally fall out of the plug in, in the wall in the down stairs bedroom. We plugged in one outlet that had a lamp already plugged into it and it began to buzz quite loudly and the lamp light began to flicker. Never came across outlets that would, lack of a better word, spit out whatever you plugged in. The deck facing the light house had a lot of popped up nails in the boards. The front door was not very private. One of the guest across from us would look into our condo. Maybe frosted tint for privacy? There are 2 glass panels in the top of the wooden door. The front door can be a little difficult to get into due to how cramped it is on the landing. Especially when trying to load and unload your luggage. There was a hard rain one morning and one or more of the windows were dripping / leaking that face the sound. Wish there was a better access point to the sound water than just the ladder. Maybe some stairs off of the dock would provide some of us who are physically limited access to the sound water. We saw an older couple that couldn’t get down the ladder.

The good: - great sound front setting; fantastic views and sunsets from the large and private deck - spacious; good floor plan - kitchen well equipped - comfortable beds - quiet locationThe bad: - long climb to the third floor - the condo needs updating and repairs - musty smell - internet modem/router broken; no connection - TV in living room is old and small - no DVD player; has a VCR (!) instead - lots of small things that need to be fixed: slats in bedroom window blinds missing, ceiling fan missing blade, etc

What a wonderful location. Sunsets were incredible, access to he water was super convenient, and the condo was perfect - pictures really don't do it justice. Can't wait to come back and experience another perfect week on the island! Thanks!
