"I've used OIR for years. The staff is always helpful and courteous. Making online reservations and payments are easy. If there's an issue with your reservation, the staff will call you to discuss and problem solve. The have a wide variety of rentals for couples to large family gatherings. Then there's the Beach Outfitters, you can simply add linens, bikes, grills, etc to your reservation and those items will be waiting for you on arrival."

"July 2024 Our summer vacation at the Landshark was enjoyed by our whole family. The views of the sound were so peaceful and relaxing from the deck, dock and living room. The game room was a great plus for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. The checkin/out process was seamless and had no issues/concerns for our entire stay."

"Southfront Inn was fantastic! Property was beautiful with incredible sunsets! Loved how private the dead end street was. Loved the kayaks! The house was very clean and spacious! Plenty of seating! Loved having 2 full size fridges with freezer space! Great water pressure when all 5 showers were in use! Amazing stove in the kitchen! Loved the old charm of everything. My only suggestion to improve this house would be to have window A/C units. Even with the fans running it got pretty toasty especially when cooking in the kitchen."

"We have been going to Ocracoke now for over 10 years. We love it there as do our children. We are true Ding Batters through and through. Back from when you had no cell reception on island to today. You need to get away? You need to do a little work? You need great food on island? Ocracoke is the place to go for sure! What makes it better is the whole rental process that OIR does for you. Pretty much a zero touch especially on the newer houses or revamp of older houses with keyless entry. Login online, check out the houses including all the great pictures and book. Get your door entry via text and that is it. Next thing to do is just go and enjoy your time. Need extra blankets, beach chairs, a golf cart for those that need help getting around, or even for those that like to ride bikes. They have just about all the things you need except for the fun you bring for you and your family. Want to do a little fishing? There are several docks that you can get to that allow for easy fishing and crabbing. Or just go to the shore side at the many different entry points along the Atlantic shore. Ocracoke is the new San Fran. There is just something about Ocracoke! Even our dogs loved it."

"Southern Comfort was beautiful! Please visit the cemetery located in the right of the backyard and read about its history!! The dock is very helpful! Wish they trimmed the trees and bushes a little behind the house because we didn’t have enough room to walk without banging your head or scarping against a tree or a bush."
