"We had a wonderful time. The home we stayed in was really beautiful. A home I could see myself living in. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a more perfect spot. We enjoyed the 2 porches so much. One for the day time and one for night. The screened porch was perfect for s’mores and milk before bedtime. We took beautiful pictures of the sunrise from the top floor porch. The home was also affordable with our retirement allowance. We will be back to this very spot for our next milestone. "We loved the layout of this house and its location. The only problem we had was with the outside stairs. The handrail needs to be replaced with something that is easy to hold onto. I had my elderly parents with me, and they had a hard time getting in and out."

"The house was perfect for our needs. Really enjoyed sitting out in the sun on the balcony. There are a couple things that would have made the stay a 5 star. 1) Dust Pan to use with the broom. 2) Updated broom 3) Cleaning supplies for counters/floors/toilets 4) (Nice to have) zip lock bags/saran wrap/Aluminum foil. We would definitely rent this home again. If these items are not going to be available in most of the homes, it would be nice to know that before we arrive. Thank you!"

"Ocracoke Island delivered what they said. The property was well maintained. We had a flood like burn out and they came to fix it within hours. We did have an issue with the living room TV cable being out, but we didn't go on vacation to watch TV, so not a big issue."

"Suggestion to owners - it would have been nice to have instructions on how to work the various appliances and TV. We don't have a gas stove and the burners didn't want to light right away - finally had to google the make and model to get the owners manual. Had to FaceTime with my adult kids to figure out how to use the TV for live network television. Lol. But the location and views were spectacular!"

"Old house, showers left a lot to be desired. Shower curtain of little valve on 1st floor as it was too short. No ice maker in refrigerator. "

"I recently returned from a trip to Ocracoke, and experienced firsthand the excellent service provided by Ocracoke Island Realty. I mistakenly left a really important belonging in the house we had rented, and didn’t discover it until the day after I returned home. The excellent housekeepers at OIR found it when they cleaned for the next guests, and mailed it back to me. In this and previous years, I have always found the staff at OIR very responsive and willing to do what it takes to resolve any problems (though there have been few)."
