Happy to Welcome Follow The Heron back to our rental family for the 2026 season! The home now includes a fourth sleeping area in the unattached In-Law Suite complete with full bath with shower. Current sleeping space is a queen futon, but this may change.

Follow the Heron... is located near the end of a quiet, cul-de-sac. Enjoy this private location which is in easy walking and biking distance to several island restaurants and coffee shops.

4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths: Follow The Heron offers a first floor Primary Bedroom with Queen. Second floor offers one bedroom with Queen and one bedroom with two Twins. The fourth bedroom is located in the detached In-Law suite and has a Double Futon, full bath with shower (no tub) and TV with DVD player (no cable or streaming).

Enjoy an open floor plan. The first floor features a master bedroom with private deck and master bathroom. A half bath is also located on the first floor which includes the washer/dryer. The second floor features two bedrooms and a full hallway bathroom.

Additional amenities include complimentary wireless internet access, central air conditioning and heat, and ceiling fans. Smart TV - streaming only. Dishwasher and microwave. Washer and dryer. In-Law Suite has a through the wall AC unit, and electric heat, TV with DVD player (not a smart TV)

*This home does not provide linens.

The exterior features several separate deck areas, a screened porch, and a generous treed yard. Gas grill, outdoor hot/cold shower, and deck swing. In Law Suite in the back yard.

No Pets Allowed.

No Smoking. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

First Floor: Living Area with TV, Kitchen, Dining Area, Half Bath, Primary Bedroom with Queen Bed. Master Bath has a Tub/Shower. In Law Suite located in the back yard with Double Futon, full bath with shower only, TV with DVD player only.

Second Floor: Bedroom with 2 Twin Beds. Bedroom with Double Bed. Hall Bath with Tub/Shower.

July 2016 Stay

With our growing family, this year we chose Follow the Heron after many years of staying in another home. We found this house to be excellent, comfortable and homey, plenty of space, and had everything we needed. Our vacation was, as always, perfect. We biked, fished, talked, ate, played games, and just enjoyed being together. Thank you for another wonderful vacation on this magical and healing Island!
