This reverse floor plan home offers fantastic views of the Ocracoke Lighthouse. Admirals Retreat features an open floor plan and various outdoor living spaces sure to provide a relaxing stay on Ocracoke Island. The comfort and elegant furnishings are sure to complement a vacation with family or friends.

Four bedrooms, 2 Baths: 2 with Queen, 2 with two Twins. One bath with a large whirlpool tub.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, and four cable TVs. Washer and dryer. No Gas Fireplace Available.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers two screened porches. Several decking options on each level and the lookout deck provide excellent views. Hot/cold outdoor shower and fish cleaning bench. Covered parking.

No Smoking. No Pets Allowed. Limit of 2 vehicles.

We really enjoyed staying at Admiral’s Retreat. The view was beautiful. AC went out but they fixed it very quickly. I would suggest to have batteries in the remotes (most were dead & renters shouldn’t have to buy them). It was nice having stocked paper plates. Cookware needs updated. Everything else was very nice. We would rent again. Location was perfect!!! We were disappointed you couldn’t go to Springer Point to watch the sunset as we had done in previous years. Food was awesome at the local restaurants, beach & fishing was great!!! Not as much live entertainment as expected like in previous years.

Loved the house and the view was wonderful. A few minor issues - some knobs missing in the master bathroom on the vanity and on switch by the towel rack. It would have been nice to use the fireplace on a couple of the cool nights but it wasn't connected to a gas source. Cookie sheets or pizza pan would be helpful. We used aluminum foil in their absence. We did not use the rooms with the twin beds but noticed that the tv in one of those rooms did not have a remote. The fans in both bathrooms appeared to be motion activated but never turned off. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the lights over the breakfast bar in the kitchen. Please don't take these as negatives - we rebooked the house for next year.

Our 37 th year. An ‘upside down’ house which always adds light to the second floor living areas. Terrific location! Bedrooms are all a very nice size. My DIL said it was her favorite ever. (5 times here with visits also to family rentals). My caveat: no second floor screened porch. The screened areas are on the lower floor accessible only by going through a bedroom or walking down to the first floor and going outside to access it. Might sound like a small thing but as it is MY favorite feature, I really missed a screened in porch on the second floor. I never went to the lower one even once. Also… why there is a king size bed platform with a queen mattress on it befuddles me. Still, it’s hard to find such a four bedroom in Ocracoke. Overall it’s still 5 stars .

October 2016 Stay
This is a wonderful home, great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The view atop the crows nest is superb, with all of Silver Lake and a glimpse of Atlantic Ocean and Teach's hole. Great place for sunrise and sunset. Admiral's retreat is well maintained, with well supplied kitchen for cooking just about anything . The only item not supplied is a barbecue grill.
