This home has been on my bucket list of rentals for a few years. The home is comfortable and amenities are fantastic. The only reason we wouldn’t give a five star review is based upon the resident neighbors and their rude teenage kids. The beach area was a mess while the dock is under construction and as someone else mentioned the construction on both sides was a bit much BUT please don’t get me wrong, I’m so happy to see these homes recover and rebuild. In years past the communication from OIR had been great in letting us know and be prepared for anything unexpected, this was not the case this year. OIR should have communicated the construction of neighboring home and the dock construction that’s been on going. Again the home and location are amazing but OIR could have done more to communicate with us ahead of time.

Had an awesome time (as we do every year we visit Ocracoke)!! The house was amazing and the views and the beach and the pier, and I could go on and on!! Counting down the days until we visit again next year!!

I stayed here for ten days. It is a wonderful place. The views of the sound from the dining room table, the screened in porch and the second story balcony are nothing short of amazing. The hammock on the upstairs balcony is just great. I have a black lab and he loved the beach and the easy access to the sound that it provided. I enjoyed checking the beach each morning to see what had been added or removed by the waves. As has always been my experience, the staff at Ocracoke Island Realty were invariably accommodating, courteous and helpful. The house is within fairly easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the village. All in all the house is as close to perfection as you could find for an Ocracoke get away.
