La Vie En Rose 'The Good Life' welcomes your family and also welcomes your dog. This unique, spacious cottage is located on Ocracoke's Lighthouse Road. Enjoy a short walk to the Silver Lake Harbor, the Ocracoke lighthouse, or Springer's Point. This home has plenty of space to spread out and relax.

5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths: 2 with King, 1 with Queen, 1 with two sets of Bunk Beds, 1 with Day Bed and Trundle. All baths with tub/shower.

Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, central air conditioning/heat, one Smart TV (No Cable Service) with a DVD player in the living area. Two additional Smart TVs with DVDs are available for viewing videos (No Cable Service). Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers two screened porches, including one 21' x 16' screened porch with a picnic table, a front covered porch, large back yard, two hot/cold outdoor showers, charcoal grill, fish cleaning bench, deck swing, and hammock.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly - Dogs Only. Limit of 2 dogs. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

Property Layout:

First Floor: Living area with Smart TV. Dining area. Second alternate dining room. Kitchen. Primary Bedroom with King bed and primary bathroom with tub/shower. Bathroom with tub/shower.

Second Floor: One bedroom with two sets of Bunk beds. One bedroom with a King bed and bathroom with tub/shower. Adjoining the King bedroom is a bedroom with a Day Bed and Trundle, and beyond is a Queen bedroom. Access to the adjoining Queen and Trundle bedrooms is via the living area stairway to the King bedroom or a spiral from the alternate dining area.

We enjoyed our stay at La Vie en Rose! While not as fancy or updated as some places, it had plenty of room to spread out and a more economical price than some. Bring all the cooking spices, matches, paper, etc…you won’t find any excess inventory. Screened porches were nice in the evenings. If someone is staying in the upstairs queen bed you will need to walk through the king bedroom to get to the bathroom, unless you prefer the narrow, steep spiral staircase. It was cool to learn that it was built by the Howard family.

We had the best time! CR37: La Vie En Rose was perfect for us, our Mamas, our daughters, and our grandsons! We had everything we needed for our week. The screen porches were exactly what was needed for the rainy times. We, also, enjoyed people watching from the swing and chairs on the front porch! Thank you for sharing this home with us!

Great location on island- easy walk to downtown, lighthouse & trails. Kitchen equipped well. Lots of space to spread out inside and out. Less steps than other places if that’s an issue. Best weather of year😍

We loved so many things about this house including the space to spread out. Our only problem was the stove. With no venting and seeming to cook on high no matter what, we set off the fire alarm twice. Fortunately, available fans helped to clear the smoke!

The house was fantastic. Classic Ocracoke feel. The kitchen was well stocked with every pan and gadget imaginable and enough dinnerware and flatware to host an island feast! Our only suggestion is for the owners to add at least a thin layer of rock on the driveway. The drive retains water in rain (as is common at many places on the island) and the mud afterwards was awful. It was a challenge trying to keep children from tracking it into this lovely home.

Everything was solid overall. The upstairs bathroom lights did not work, and we reported it, but it was not fixed. Not terribly upset about that though, may have taken some electrical work to fix. The guy who came to look at it was very nice, but said he couldn't fix it. We'll definitely be back over to the island at some point.

Wonderful family friendly home
So comfortable! We really appreciated the quality of the beds- we all slept so well, loved the screen porch and front porch swing! Kitchen was well appointed- lovely pantry!

The house was in a perfect location for us. Lots of room for everyone to spread out, and lots of storage. Only issue was the back screen door from the deck scrapes the step and won't really open. The downstairs hall toilet was very hard to flush. Kitchen was very well stocked. Enjoyed our stay!
