This home features 9-foot ceilings, a kitchen featuring two islands, 103-year-old heart pine beams from the foundation of the original house, and granite countertops highlighted by contemporary light fixtures.

Enjoy amazing views of the nearby Ocracoke Lighthouse from both floors of Eleanor Jane’s. Relax on the spacious screened front porch. Eleanor Jane's offers a covered first-floor deck and a second-floor open deck in the rear of the home, overlooking the pool, incredible for stargazing. Bring your telescope! This property offers a convenient island location. Enjoy a short walk or bike ride to the Ocracoke Lighthouse, Silver Lake Harbor, and Springer’s Point Nature Preserve. This residential neighborhood is also convenient to shops and restaurants.

Eleanor Jane’s offers a private 10' x 20' *pool located in the rear of the property.

7 Bedrooms, 6.5 Baths: Five Primary Bedrooms with King Beds. One bedroom with two Twins, one bedroom with a Pyramid Bed (double on bottom/twin on top), and an additional twin. Each of the five Primary Bedrooms features a private bath.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat and ceiling fans. Complimentary wireless Internet access, seven cable TVs. The laundry room offers a washer and dryer and a second full-size refrigerator. A second-floor entertainment room offers a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator to keep your cold beverages close at hand.

Sheets and towels provided, beds made, with the exception of the top bunk.

The exterior offers first and second-floor decks overlooking the private 10’ x 20’ pool. A front screened porch overlooks Lighthouse Road. Enjoy a shady brick courtyard on the left side of the home with mature live oaks. Private outdoor shower with changing area. Park style charcoal grill and fish cleaning bench. Bike rack under the house. Two outlets for golf cart chargers.

We always love Ocracoke Island Realty's cottages. They are easy to contact and communicate when we need something. For example, one of the beds' linens had not been changed when we arrived and after calling, someone arrived within 10 minutes to make it right and change them. Our dishwasher leaked this time, but it was no problem to hand wash them. Eleanor Jane was one of our favorite places that we've stayed to date and we hope to be able to come again!

We had the best week! We had a critter get invite pool and make a mess two days straight and maintenance was there and fixed the problem quickly. Even installed a new pool pump. We had 4 grandkids with us that loved the pool. This is our 3 year in Eleanor Jane and we have pre-booked for 2026. Counting down our day till we can come back to our favorite little island!

We had a wonderful time staying at Eleanor Jane's! The home was perfect for our large group and activities included biking and carting around the island, pool time with the little ladies, spending time on the beach and sunsets at Springers Point. Always a ton of things to do in Ocracoke, but more importantly relax with family! Thank you to the homeowners and Ocracoke Island Realty for the wonderful service and accommodations. Eleanor Jane's is a perfect fit for our family of 14. Lots of room upstairs and down to relax in groups and privately. THE POOL is great. The Open living space is so enviting, the kitchen amazingly well equipt, and the extra upstairs "den" area with microwave and drink cooler and big TV was super for the teens and as a playroom for the younger ones.

Eleanor Janes was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the home was well decorated, it was very clean, and it was in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you to the owner and rental company. The amenities were lacking and that is my only reason for rating this home as 4 stars. I would have given it a 4 and a 1/2 stars if I could’ve. For those looking to stay here, be prepared…We were only provided one roll of toilet paper and paper towels, as well as a bar of hand soap for each bathroom. That’s a challenge when we maxed out at 15 people and we stayed for a week. We were prepared to run to the store because they let us know this right before we checked in. Also, there are only a few games in the cabinet. The stove only has one large burner so again that was a challenge when trying to cook for a large family. The pots and pans were old so everything stuck to them. The washer is small so even though it has a “super” setting it doesn’t hold very much. Lastly, we were there during a tropical storm so the internet wasn’t working. We selected a dvd from their selection which was very much appreciated but the player was old so didn’t have the proper connection, which meant we watched a new movie in black and white. We all had a good laugh and it made our great stay even more memorable. The trip was incredible and our stay was great. Again this is just a heads up for future renters. Thanks!
