Live Oak Cottage offers an open floor plan. Relax on the front screened porch.

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath: Queen bed. Bathroom with shower.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless Internet access, and streaming TV ( no cable service). Dishwasher and microwave. Stackable washer and dryer.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers a screened porch, hot/cold outdoor shower, park-style charcoal grill, fish bench, and covered parking for one of two vehicles.

No Smoking Permitted. No Pets. No Phone. Limit of 2 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

All good . Only concern floor shakes easily just by walking around . For me it was not an issue but other people might find it annoying . Looking at the pillars they house is sitting onto, I noticed that they are missing the cross beams that all other similar houses have, with the purpose of prevent the floor to move horizontally. Maybe is just that . You might want to ask an opinion of a professional contractor .

Great cottage for two. Enjoyed the screened in porch and open kitchen. Could have used an extra tv in the bedroom, but was ok without it too. I have been coming to the island for over 22years and try to rent a different place each time. I would recommend this cottage for a couple.

Cottage was perfect for the two of us. Beware of lots of pedestrian traffic on that side of the island, and Loop Road turns one way once Lighthouse Road ends.

Overall, a solid rental. Location next to Springer's Point Access is wonderful. Only downside is the house shakes anytime you walk around. Can be annoying at times, which is the reason this doesn't get 5 stars from us.

Cottage was clean and well appointed...all the basics you would need for a week. Only area of improvement is the bed...it is hard and uncomfortable. A couch or hammock to stretch out and read a book would be a big plus, too.

We really enjoyed our Ocracoke stay. First time but May lead to more annual trips. I think we would like to stay away from big weekends as it got very busy by Friday. Also enjoyed the older section near harbor. All in all very satisfied. Greg and Cheryl Johnson
