We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! Everything was exceptionally clean and well-kept, with beautiful new decks that were perfect for relaxing. The smart TVs were a great touch, and the central location made it easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen was well-stocked and the bathrooms were very nice. The only downside was the new king bed—it looked great, but unfortunately was extremely uncomfortable and lacked proper support. Overall, a lovely place with so many positives, but the bed is something that definitely needs attention.

Awesome home centrally located with a fence and porch for our Labrador. Loves this home, right next to the coffee shop and the flying melon, which has the best food on the island! Home had all the amenities on would need for a great single family vacation with pets. Also comes with a kayak to use for fishing or paddling around exploring the sound.

We really enjoyed our stay on Ocracoke Island. The house was centrally located and was clean and tidy when we arrived. We had to walk the dogs out and around to access the fenced yard and it we would have liked to have direct access so we could let the dogs out directly into the fenced backyard. The air conditioning system did not seem to get to the master bedroom very well, so our nights were a little warmer than we would have liked. The hdmi connection on the living room TV did not work properly and the tv screen flickered. Thank you!

The house was very clean and really cute and had all the amenities. My only complaint is there was no direct access to the backyard from the house. We brought our dogs and booked the house specifically because of the backyard. I have one dog who is reactive and doesn’t do well with unknown people or a lot of activity. I thought letting the dogs out directly to the backyard would minimize the stress, but since I still had to take them out front to get to the fenced yard, it was difficult. Especially with a busy coffee shop next door. Otherwise, everything was great.

Needs lights outside and access to the backyard. Place is fantastic and great location. I would definitely rent this again only if it had outdoor light down in the carport and in backyard. A set of stairs off the back deck down into the backyard would be great.

Perfect beach house for us! This was an amazing week away with my daughter. Location was perfect for us to have walking access to most of the village. The set up for 2 adults was perfect for us and being pet friendly meant we could travel with my daughter’s 3yo viszla. Having internet access also meant my daughter could work remotely for part of the day! And the outdoor shower after the beach was perfect too. We would definitely come back!

The rental listing was a little misleading. There was a fenced in yard and screened in porch out back which in the listing appeared to be connected to the main entrance of the house. It was actually not accessible without going outside and through the side yard. The screened in porch is always a crucial must have for us when choosing a rental. It was disappointing that we weren't able to use it as much since there was so much rain the yard was flooded and made it difficult to access. I know you can't renovate and create access that doesn't exist but I do think a more clear description and photos would be helpful!
