Loved this house! Sitting on the porch was like being in a tree house. We found everything we needed. And it was so nice to be almost next door to Ocracoke Coffee. We could beat the rush!

We love staying on Ocracoke!! This year we stayed at "Better Days" cottage and we had an amazing week! Ocracoke Island Realty (OIR) has come a long way in all of the years that we have stayed there. We loved that our cottage had easy contactless check-in and check-out. We also appreciated the text updates and information. The cottage we stayed at was absolutely wonderful! It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. There were a few things that the cottage needed fixed. (The downstairs bathroom doorknob was broken, the upstairs AC stopped working halfway through the week, the outside outlet may need to be checked - it didn't seem to be charging our golf carts very well). But those should all be easy fixes. We are excited to start planning with OIR for our Ocracoke vacation for next summer!! Until then - Ocracoke, we will miss you!

As always we found the house in great condition. Clean and neat. We had internet service for 4 days of the first week. Lost connection after that for the second week. Had 2 college students doing online classes but they overcame the lack of internet. That was only problem we encountered. A shout out to Molly for great customer service.

We always have a great time on the island. Have been coming for the last 20 years. We have stayed in several different houses, and this one was not as nice as the others. There were several things that needed repair. I fixed a few of them. Maybe the other renters may not be reporting issues. Nice and comfy, but needs a little tlc. We love Ocracoke! One of our favorite places in the country! Thanks again.

I only wish that the lower steps leading to the inside (both in the front and in the back of the house) were lower. I have very arthritic knees and getting onto that first step is quite difficult.

We love Better Days and will continue to rent?. There is only one maintenance issue which needs to be addressed quickly, though. The dishwasher keeps pulling away from the counter and the trays fall out. It needs to be secured.

Great house very clean kitchen has everything you would need. You do need to open the closet in the bedroom that has the king bed. Ocracoke has a special magic, and we loved our stay again this year. OIR was easy to work with, and Better Days was exactly as described, perfect for our family and dogs. Well- equipped kitchen helped us produce some top-notch meals (with some help from Ocracoke fresh seafood).

Better Days is a great house and we really enjoyed our stay. It's our third time there. Ocracoke Island Realty does a great job, and we like it over VRBO because they are always so responsive.

Fourth time we’ve rented Better days. Unfortunately the house was in its worst shape. House had a terrible smell when we arrived. Floor was sandy. Dishes were dirty and every time something was used it had to be cleaned first including all of the silverware. Found woman’s underwear behind the couch in the master bedroom, easy to see.

Better Days was a wonderful house for our family vacation. We made great seafood meals in the large kitchen. We played card and board games on the front porch and dining room table. We ate a couple of meals on the back deck. It is in a great location. We spent much time at Ocracoke Coffee. We rented bikes and biked everywhere. The house is close to the beach, hiking trails, stores, restaurants and the brewery. My children even biked over for a yoga class nearby. This was one of our best family trips. The house was comfortable and functional for our purposes. We hope to come back to this property again.
