DC50: Queen Anne's Retreat

We stayed at Queen Annes Retreat - great location, prone to flooding. We knew this but it might be nice to let guests know that outright. Wednesday might have spooked folks new to the island. Also just a couple suggestions for Queen Annes Retreat, we bought a cutting board and left it at the house for the next guests and the TV is not connected to cable of any sort and older so you are not able to connect to YouTube TV. Therefore guests would need netflix to connect to any form of TV. We look forward to morning news and were not able to get that on the television. Otherwise, zero complaints and OIR was great to work with - we'll be back for sure. THANK YOU.

Almost perfect. There was no outside running shower to watch off our feet or our beach items. We called for assistance but never heard back. We made do but left the island with a lot of sand. Also… the house needs lamps in the open areas. The overheads are a bit much.

Queen Anne's Revenge was a wonderful home to stay in! The artwork on the walls was amazing and the decor was stunning. The home was comfortable and recently updated. I would recommend the front door and sliding glass doors be outfitted the blinds or a curtain, as there wasn't much privacy, especially at night. Overall, the stay was great and the location was perfect for our little family.

Nice clean house, well kept and presented

The place was nice. But we lost internet in the morning one day due to issues with the bill. But when I called the realty I was told basically to wait. For remote workers, internet is critical. But the most annoying part was that I had to strip the beds. I don’t stay at Airbnb for a reason and yet it felt like I was at the Airbnb. I don’t want to publish this review because I understand the landlord has to make a living. and the place and location were nice. thanks.

Really liked the house..great location...very comfortable...only suggestions...add a gas grill on the deck and either put dimmer switches on the lights or add a lamp in the living area...lights were so bright and harsh, we ended up putting a lamp from the bedroom on the table next to the fireplace, so we could turn off the beacons in the living room and kitchen in order to watch tv...other than that, would definitely rent again...

A great house. The bedrooms are at the front so it can be a bit noisy with the traffic in the evenings and mornings. The side deck was wonderful. Only recommended addition would be a few table lamps as the overheads were incredibly bright. The sofa in the living room could also be upgraded to include more comfortable seating.

Great location and clean house. Only thing I would improve is add curtains/blinds on the front door and sliding door. Aside from that, 5/5 would recommend to stay at Queen Anne’s Retreat!

House is comfortable. Kitchen lacking some basic equipment such as tea strainer, citrus juicer. Lighting is quite harsh. Bedrooms should both have 2 side tables with reading lamps. Loved the location. Morning coffee on the front porch was a delight.
