Nicely decorated house in a convenient part of the village of Ocracoke. The kitchen has everything including plastic dishes for kids. This would be a terrific house for a family get together. There is an easel with chalk in a upstairs bedroom. The screened porch is wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at Hydaway but have a few suggestions to improve things for future visitors: make sure folks know how steep the stairs are, inside and out - someone with mobility issues would have trouble. Put new bulbs in the dining room chandelier - we could never get them to light up. Mow the grass in the back yard, get a better grill, fix the porch ceiling fan. Otherwise we were quite comfy and had a great time.

The home was prepared and ready upon our arrival. It was cleaned as expected. We had no issues with the home either. Plenty of room for all of our party that was there that did not make it feel like we were on top of each other the whole time either. We had 7 people total and our family dog.
