Contentment. The name says it all! This Ocracoke vacation home is located in the quiet Jackson Dunes neighborhood on beautiful Ocracoke Island. Relax in the Adirondack chairs, read a book on the screened porch, dine outdoors, or lounge on the upper deck. You will enjoy the wonderful marsh views, and tranquility of your staff off the beaten path, but a stones throw away from all that Ocracoke has to offer.

Contentment has plenty of room to spread out and relax with two separate living areas - both include a large flat-screen internet TV. Enjoy the lovely unobstructed sound, marsh, and even distant ocean views from the top floor cupola or upper deck.

4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths: 1 with King, 2 with Queen, 1 with Bunk Bed and Twin. Both bathrooms offer showers.

Additional amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, and three internet TVs (no cable or satellite service). The second-floor den offers a mini-refrigerator and wet bar. Washer and dryer are located under the house in the shed.

The exterior offers a large screened porch, decks, picnic table, deck swing, hot/cold outdoor shower, and park-style charcoal grill. Covered parking.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival with the exception of the top bunk.

No Smoking. No Pets Allowed. Limit of 4 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

This was our fourth time staying at Contentment and it was a great experience as always! We love the location because it is a short golf cart ride to all our favorite spots, but the house is tucked back where there is not a lot of traffic and noise. The house was clean and we had everything we needed during our stay. We hope to go back soon!

The place was pretty great! The master bedroom upstairs was spacious, the view was solid, the shower was awesome, and no complaints! The dow stairs bedrooms seemed to get much warmer than upstairs, which impacted guest experience for those that stayed in that room. But other than that, we really enjoyed the home and are thankful we got to stay there!

June 2016 Stay

Our visit to Ocracoke was perfect. The house was amazing...beautifully decorated and amazing to almost sit in the treetops with the birds on the balcony. The sunsets, yoga on the beach, trip to Portsmouth Island and overall island hospitality were amazing...my only complaint is that we could not stay longer. Thank you for a real good time.
