Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet, and four cable TVs. Washer and dryer located in laundry shed.

The exterior offers ample areas for outdoor relaxation, including both a screened porch and an open deck. The upper deck is perfect for sunbathing with privacy, expansive views, and a wonderful breeze. Enjoy the hot/cold outdoor shower and park-style charcoal grill.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

While the weather was not ideal for our two-week stay, there were enough good beach days to make it very enjoyable. OIR helped us when our internet access went down, so thanks for that. We did find the cottage somewhat run down for our last stay two years ago. The screen porch doors barely worked and it didn't look like there had been much upkeep since our last stay. The house was clean and we very much like the location with its peach and quiet away from the crowds. Overall, we were very pleased.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. We will send our maintenance tech to work on the screen doors, and will work with the homeowner on needed updates and repairs this winter. I can say that they have been working on the house each winter since they purchased it, and did replace all the mattresses last winter. I'm sure there are items already on their to do list for this coming off season. Safe Harbor is a unique home and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay depsite less than perfect weather. Perfect for our family!

Safe Harbor was a wonderful space for our family vacation. 3 adults, 1 grandparent, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Our kids loved the ship room. It was super cozy and held a pack and play in the corner. The kitchen and living room space was perfect for making most of our meals and our dogs had a great time exploring the fenced in yard. We hope to stay here again!

July 2016 Stay

This is the second time to Ocracoke. Ocracoke's magic rubbed off so much we brought our family back to Heron's Landing! This time we took in more of what Ocracoke offers- Captain Ronnie's charter fishing, Portsmouth Island ATV excursion and Flying Mellon restaurant. Even felt like OCokers when we ordered out from Howard's Pub! Along with several beautiful beach days....we call our favorite way to vacation #islandtime
