Island Rest is a professionally decorated reverse floor plan home offering a second-floor open living, dining, and kitchen with distant views of Pamlico Sound. Located in the quiet Jackson Dunes neighborhood, Island Rest is the perfect family-friendly home offering an excellent setting for biking or a short stroll. Relax on one of the generous outdoor areas. Enjoy expansive marsh and distant sound views. Relax, read a book, dine outdoors or take in the 360-degree view from the interior third-floor cupola.

3 bedrooms, 3 Baths: 1 with King, 1 with Queen, 1 with Bunk Bed and Twin.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, Mini-split system in the second floor main living room, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, and four cable TVs. The kitchen offers a dishwasher, a double oven, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker, and a wine refrigerator. Washer and dryer. Pack-N-play. High chair.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival, with the exception of the top bunk.

The exterior features two screened porches and two open decks. Children's play area. Outdoor hot/cold shower, park-style charcoal grill, fish cleaning bench, and picnic table.

No Smoking. No Pets Allowed.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

First Floor: Primary Bedroom with King Bed, TV with Roku and DVD player, Primary Bath with custom tiled walk-in shower. Bedroom with Queen Bed, Smart TV and DVD player and Bedroom with Bunk Bed and Twin, Smart TV and DVD player, Shared Bath with tub/shower. Laundry Closet in Shared Bath.

Second Floor: Open kitchen, dining, and living area with TV with Firestick and Sound Bar. Full Bath.

Third Floor: Cupola accessed via a ladder.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week together at the Island Rest. We had four adults and 3 children ages 4-10. The three bedrooms with one room including a bunk plus third twin were just right. Our mattresses were all on the firmer side with soft toppers in the king and queen beds. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the nautical themed bedding and pillows, though finding room to keep the many decorative pillows clean was a challenge. Fewer pillows might be more practical. The home was spotless, smelled fresh, and was nicely decorated throughout. We enjoyed the open and comfortable second floor living spaces. The kitchen was so well stocked; what a treat for a group that likes to eat in most meals. We also enjoyed the many patio areas which gave us room to spread out. Our grandkids could move about outside and explore without us worrying for their safety. They liked the play equipment and chairs to sit and read. Now for the best feature: watching the sunrise from the cute copula. Truly gorgeous and my favorite part of the day. This home is the perfect fit for a group of two couples and 3 children. We will be returning.

Islands rest is a beautifully maintained property that is always clean and comfortable. The staff helped us with missing towels for the third bedroom (that were later located). We look forward to our next trip to the island and will always use Ocracoke Island Realty as our first option. Thank you!

Island Rest is a fantastic property with beautiful views, very well stocked kitchen, and a nice floor plan. The cable reception isn’t that great and that would be the only downside to this house.

B+ well equipped and maintained. Would rent again. Overall, much better than most beach rentals. Issues: kitchen lights broken; dishwasher didn’t clean well; cable tv poor; bunk room didn’t cool enough.

We enjoy ocracoke and especially staying at Island Rest. Though the weather was unusual, we still enjoyed the people we visited with and the food and drink at many restaurants.
