Great except for that Nor’Easter. The house was wonderful as always. Love the views! My only comment is with lack of baking dishes. A few would be helpful.

Stay was great! House is so comfortable with a stunning view. Would be great to fix the broken outlet in the 2nd bedroom and do a very thorough vacuuming for dog hair on the downstairs rugs, outdoor tables, and sliding door tracks.

Absolutely LOVED this house! It was the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving week with the family. The views are spectacular. The home is open and roomy with lots of seating options and has so much storage! The kitchen was extremely well equipped — we especially liked the griddle feature of the stove. Great house. Well appointed and wonderful view. My reason for 4 star relates to the faulty door lock, with the leaver falling off on the inside from day 1. Time to upgrade to a keyless lock!

My two Adult boys with their wives and 2 year old grandson had a fabulous time each with a dog they can't leave behind. We loved the ease and comfort of Pickled Ocra. The location is perfect for kayaking and enjoying water views.

We had a wonderful stay at Pickled Okra. The location of the house was wonderful with the ocean sound directly behind the house. The house was comfortable but could use a bit of TLC on a few minor things that would make it 5 star. The blinds in the ensuite bathroom upstairs were torn up with gaps in them when we arrived and this is an inexpensive, easy fix. The primary bed was made up with a blanket rather than a bedspread on top. This would have been fine, but there was a hole in the blanket. None of this is a big deal, but just letting you know. 1st impressions matter. We did not have any dish towels during our stay, so found some older pillow shams over the washer & dryer and used those to dry dishes with. Also there was not a quest house book with instructions for things like trash pick up & recycling rules. But outside of these things, we had a great time. Used the kayaks which is wonderful to have with the property. Cooked in a lot and found the kitchen to have most things we needed. As other quests have mentioned in the guest book on the coffee table.... the front door is a real bear to lock & unlock easily with the key. A keyless entry would be a great addition. Positively the best / most parking I have had a an Ocracoke house. And I found the interior downstairs to be much larger and comfortable than it appeared in the pictures. Very nice home.... with a GREAT backyard & few. Just needs a bit of attention to small details.

We loved this house and the location. Amazing views from practically everywhere. Both primary bedrooms have a water view, which is so rare. The two adult bedrooms are very equal in size and amenity, which is also rare. We so appreciated that. If it hadn't been so windy we'd have easily been able to SUP and kayak from the little beach. Easy bike rides all around the village. The house is still using keys rather than the combo system and the front door was very hard to lock inside and out.
