NP27: Anticipation

This is our 20th year for staying at Anticipation and it is just like coming home. This year we were so happy to see that the screened porch was added and new furniture has been installed in both living areas. We usually stay two weeks but this year we stayed three and it was the best weather ever! No worries about hurricanes this year. The new dock is great and we are already looking forward to next year!

Anticipation was absolutely fabulous. We were pleasantly suprised to see new furniture in the house that was not pictured online. The updates to the house are very appealing. We enjoyed the dock and the large deck around the house. Having two refrigerators was also a bonus! We hope to book this house again. Check in and checkout was easy and seamless. The door was a little hard to open, you needed to pull the door before turning the lock.

After almost 20 years (next year will be 20) we feel like we are coming home to Anticipation every year. So thankful that the new owners are keeping the property in the rental program. We are hoping that they will work on the sliding glass doors - the living room and dining room ones are getting really hard to open and close. We love this house and the location has to be the best on the island. OIR staff are always great.

House was wonderful. Check in needs improvement for Sunday arrival. Information needs to be submitted to both text and email. I never got a text. I think it was a Verizon issue not their fault. However, the emergency contact was of no help. They didn’t have a good after hours contact number and couldn’t find the actual house listing. We eventually got in when maid service happened by. Please change/update after hours procedure.

We are so very sorry for the issues with the checkin and our on call service, we will work with them on being more helpful. For future reference, they are able to forward on calls to our local on call person, so if you ever need this kind of assistance again and are not getting what you need, please ask them to forward. Anticipation is a wonderful home and we are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Anticipation is the best located house on the island. We have stayed here for 18 years and love being here even when it's raining. Stunning sunrises and unbelievable sunsets. The kitchen is so well appointed, everything you need for preparing meals of any kind. Hope to continue our September tradition for more years.

We love everything about the house, except the television programming. We do not have streaming services where we live so we don’t have accounts with Hulu, etc. We missed having access to current network programming.

As always, staying at Anticipation seems like coming home. The weather was beautiful, in spite of the looming Hurricane Lee and we had such a good time. This is the 16th or 17th year we have been in Anticipation at this time of the year and we love it because it's not too crowded and not too hot! Can't wait for next year!

Our rental was very comfortable and well-appointed for 3 couples. The grounds should have been cleaned from cigarette butts and garbage. Information should have been given regarding TS Idalia regarding clearing deck areas and preparing for the storm.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The House was immaculate with just the right amount of housewares and amenities to meet our needs. We most enjoyed the wonderful porch, hammock and finding hermit crabs along the sandy banks. We look forward to our stay next year.
